Fashola's 2014 budget for media (propaganda) is in excess of 30billion naira

Most state governors build and deliver minor projects like this without necessarily becoming loud about it. They don't even show up there for elaborate commissioning.

Fashola is the only governor that commissions a Mikano Generator, a 2km road, streetlights with so much fanfare and media noise

Have you been to Abuja? They are countless of more imposing buildings (FG ministeries, FG agencies and Depts) by the FCT minister and GEJ but nobody makes so much noise about them. The FCT minister nor GEJ does not go there, take pictures posing like an uncivilised man for the purpose of propaganda

Why are you people such perennial haters? Fashola commissioned a completed project as he is duty-bound to do if his schedule allow such. A Lagosian Nairalander has now brought news of another commissioned project here. How does that amount to "making noise" and why must you again express obvious anger and bad belle over what should not concern you?

Is it a bad thing that the SW is a region predisposed to reading, writing, public discourse and journalistic reportage? If folks in your neck of the wood do not highlight the work of their leader do not then insinuate it is a crime when others do so. This is the norm worldwide. Go to skyscrapercity.com and see illustrations of my point. If Lagosians want to illustrate every thing Fashola does , little or large, then feel free to do same for your Governor and State or shut up !!! You people's hate and bad belle for others is nauseating. It is a free world abeg. Learn to respect that notion.

Fashola's 2014 budget for media (propaganda) is in excess of 30billion naira

Propaganda didn't draw plan to build and complete projects

Propaganda didn't pay bricklayers

Propaganda didn't pay electricians

Propaganda didn't pay plumbers

Propaganda didn't pay tile layers

Propaganda didn't pay equipment vendors and suppliers

Propaganda wont occupy this imposing institution and adjudicate cases on behalf of the people of Lagos state

When are we going to start seeing such propaganda from your own villages?

Most state governors build and deliver minor projects like this without necessarily becoming loud about it.

Why no show us similar projects by the so called governors especially from your own dead and non performing villages?

Have you been to Abuja? They are countless of more imposing buildings (FG ministeries, FG agencies and Depts) by the FCT minister and GEJ but nobody makes so much noise about them. The FCT minister nor GEJ does not go there, take pictures posing like an uncivilised for the purpose of propaganda

Why do you losers compare 8 years in office Fashola a state governor with your federal government and huge oil wealth that built the federal capital over several decades?

Abuja is the FC, not your Village.

What about comparing him with your own village governors? Shebi they are governors and collects taxes and allocations like Fashola?

Show us what your own village governors are doing with their taxes and allocations...

Dumb village losers with no sense of worth and belonging...... grin

Lagos Budgets N77.7 Billion as running cost for Gov Fashola’s office for 2014
The huge and staggering money is considered outrageous, as there are no breakdowns as to what the money would be expended on. The money was just simply named; ‘operational cost (executive). The N77.7 billion took the lion share of the total overhead cost.

Also, the government is earmarking N10.02 billion as subvention for tertiary institutions in the state.

Under the overhead cost of N146.7 billion, N1.84 billion has been budgeted for buying fuel for government vehicles, while maintenance of office buildings would gulp N477.8 million as local travel and transport expenses stood at N899.9 million.

The sum of N23.3 billion will be used in paying part of its outstanding debt for this year. The breakdown of this figure includes N922 million to be used in paying external debt loans and N22.423 billion to settle internal debt incurred by the government.

Payment of staff salaries and allowances for this year is N71.4 billion as the Lagos State Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA will spend N3.76 billion as transport fund this year.

The Deputy Governor’s Office has a budget of N779.3 million to be used in running the affairs of the office, while the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital has a budget of N5 billion. Also, the state government will spend N567 million to purchase stationery for government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, while utility allowance has been pegged at N902 million

1. The pics are not from punch or vanguard, they are from the state's websites just like your own village leaders put pictures of their world famous roundabout on their websites.

2. Infrastructure development remains the best job creator so you create more jobs by spending on infrastructures like the Lagos state government do everyday.

3. This and other projects the state commissions everyday means tons of Lagosians are working and collecting paychecks...

4. Projects don't go up by magic, bricklayers were paid to build them just like electricians, plumbers, tile layers, roofers, equipment vendors and suppliers, food vendors, sign writers, lawyers, accountants.

5. On the other hand, you should be more concerned by your own non performing leaders and villages with no projects and unemployed people that migrates to Lagos to secure employment and daily bread by working on such projects..

Bottom line, projects don't build themselves, people from all profession and skills build them and they all collected paychecks to feed their families..

It's a sad shame that we have to keep breaking it down for clueless and unintelligent people like you to understand, but it's public service and somebody's got to do it...

Akwa ibom posts the largest budget in Nigeria and even almost N100 billion more than Lagos, but can you show us anything apabio did with all that money apart from the roads in one single location in Uyo and the non FIFA regulation football pitch he called stadium?

Can you show us one single classroom he built with all that money?

Can you show us one single hospital or clinic he built with all that money?

Can you show us one single skills center he built with all that money?

Can you show us any state institution like the one in this thread?

Even apabio himself is very much aware that his state is nothing but a glorified village hence porting his own family to Fashola's Lagos so what are you blabbing about?

Indeed. Even from Nairaland, one could be forgiven for thinking the SW is Nigeria thanks to those who obsess about the region 24/7 yet have nothing to say about their own State and region. Talk about the development going on in your own region/State and they will be angry. Yet they never talk about or promote their own and are only ever found obsessing about everything to do with the SW. Next minute they will talk of "media hype" without realising they are the one underselling themselves and busy putting others in the spotlight, home and abroad, with their penchant for rushing in to talk about every little thing to do with the SW when most people of the region are not really interested in the affair of others. There is just no pleasing these children of hate.

Akpabio is a civilised man - not one village champion with brainwashed "follow follow" followers.

A) Akpabio (unlike Fashola) does not make noise about any project less than 5b naira.

B) He doesn't go to commission Mikanno Generating set and deceive his dumbass followers he is building Power Plants.

C) He does not commission nor make noise about 2km roads

D) He does not commission nor make noise about street lights
