Benin Republic Immigration Officers Now Collect N500 To Stamp Nigerian Passports by caprini1: 12:35am On Nov 12, 2014 |
The normality for frequent travelers along the Seme border by Beninoise immigration officers is to collect N100 OR N200 as the case may be after stamping ones passport at the border. But today it was N500 in and N500 out.People travelling without passports, gets to pay some 50 naira each at about five or six check points. Its crazy, are they now advising people to travel without the necessary travel documents?I learnt this new extortion started some three weeks ago. Please those in authorities should look into this. Moreover french nationals never gets to pay a dime at all the french speaking Ecowas countries borders, but the way Nigerians and Ghanaians are man handled and harassed for this monies is appalling. |

Those Benin nationals are criminals. Nigerians don't collect money when they cross into Nigeria. I remember when I travel to Benin we were asked to pay 500 naira by those corrupt border officials 1 Like |
