Nigerian Security Brutality And Complicity Of Nigerian Educated Citizens by Ovamboland(m): 9:49am On Nov 15, 2014
I hope you will have enough data to watch this video.

The Nigerian government keep saying there is no war crime committed by the security forces war crimes, the video documents a series of brutal activities by soldiers. It seems the Civilian JTF is even more humane as they often handover suspects to the Army who often end up dead without any kind of trial.
We can live in denial or call anyone names of being BH sympathizer or jihadist, i don't care. But looking at these video it explains a lot about the reason Boko Haram keeps growing in leaps and bounds as the survivors and witnesses to brutality sanctioned by the government naturally gravitate to join Boko Haram.
We all know how the Nigerian soldiers conduct themselves among civilians, even in safe cities like Lagos where they resort to burning public buses for any perceived infractions by the drivers or how they manhandle citizens on the street for reasons like having a bag or clothing made from camouflage material. We know how the campaign at Odi and Zaki Biam was conducted

What is most disheartening to me is the response of so called educated, exposed Nigerians who seem to condone and support this kind of brutality with comments like ' they deserve it', 'they also deny human rights to their own victims' , etc.
It seems nothing has been learnt from the extra-judicial killing of Yussuf, the leader of Boko Haram, which eventually resulted in the extraordinary escalation of violence in the region. The killers are still walking free ready to commit more atrocities as justice in Nigerian society takes back seat.

Nigerian mentality seems to be at a lower level of evolution as advanced societies are already discussing the needs to abolish death penalty for crimes tried in a regular court, we are still at the level of mob killing of witches, bird-cat women, armed robbers, petty thieves, witch children etc. Evolving a modern state and the responsibility and decorum that comes with it seems to be far beyond our mental grasp.

No wonder some countries refuse to sell arms to Nigeria

I enjoy everybit of the op but abolishing death penalty ...

Someone who turned the womb of a pregnant woman inside out , cut out the tongue , breasts , vagina and the embryo deserved to be killed one million times ....

An Arm robber who asked son to bang his momma , father to bang his daughter and afterward killed the whole family deserved nothing but death and pains in million folds !!

What about a serial killer ?

Our society is truly not advanced but abolishment of death penalty by advanced civilisation is barbaric and wicked Infact I think ''Multi-Painful'' death penalty should be addedto the clauses in death penalty !!
