Good. But how are you sure it was your emergency call that made it happen? You know it is possible some other person may have called the fire service directly. The only way you could have verified was to ask the fire people

Yeah yeah.

But you'd be beating your chest and showing off proudly if this had been a federal govt service.

Sorry ehn.

There was a time when a thousand and one people will call the hotline and they won't respond. Some other time, it will never go through. Whoever/whatever may have fuelled them to come is to be encouraged. And they came with water too! Wow!

Say what you know. I have witnessed something like this in Kaduna. The building was on fire and one man started calling the firemen, it didn't take long before the sirens came blazing through.

That's if they have water in that tank cheesy

I remember an incident that happened sometime ago where my elder bro lived in PH.
There was a fire outbreak, the fire men were there with their empty truck parked beside the road as they watched the entire building plus other houses in the area razed down by the inferno.

Their excuse was"NO WATER" grin grin...na there i give up for Nigeria mata.

This is great news and commendation to Fashola's government for setting up this EFFECTIVE and efficient service.
Hope it will be kept up and works ALL over Lagos state.

However, the service will be of very LIMITED impact without the provision of TAP water and good FEEDER roads in the state.

I once called the emergency number and not only did I get a response in seconds, the environmental task force was dispatched almost within minutes to deal with the complaint I had.now I fully understand the essence of the street naming exercise
