Beloved, The grace of God, right standing with God, or even our access to heaven is not for the perfect. But for the imperfect (That is those who received the abundance of Grace, and the gift of righteousness). Why? I do not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness was by the law (the process of our being good) then Christ died in vain. Galatians 2:21 NLT I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. But thank God, He did not die in vain. Then pastor, what must I do to work the works of God? John 6:28-29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. Are you a believer, do you actually believe in God's unmerited favour, or you are justifying yourself because of your self righteousness, playing religion like the Pharisees, I am better than that man ? Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace. May this season bring much peace in your life in Jesus Christ mighty name. Remember, His name is Jesus/Yeshua. @OP, you need to upgrade your understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through faith (Eph 2:8 ). You must access the grace of God through faith. Faith is not just about accenting to something in your head; it also involves speaking and acting in consonance with the head accent.

The condition a person must satisfy in order to go to heaven is that the person must be perfect. Perfection can easily be achieved by application of the grace of God in a person's life through faith.

from the scripture you quoted, you didn't include verse 9. Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. you are already boasting. you are not righteous because you are perfect, because there are more perfect people from other religion than you who can never make heaven except they believe in the finished work of Christ. you didn't become a sinner because you sinned, but rather, because Adam sinned. same way you become righteous because of Jesus. Romans 5:18-19 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Don't condemn what you don't understand.

@kei144, do you actually know what you are saying? How can you talk of you being perfect, when you have equally said '' Perfection can easily be achieved by application of
the grace of God in a person's life through faith.'' do you know what Grace means, ? we are not talking about abilities. but rather unmerited favour from God. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast. if in the old testament, your perfection could not give you a right standing with God for all have sinned. how then do you think it will now? Jesus is our perfection.

What is the grace of God?

Mt. 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

2Pe. 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
2Pe. 1:4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2Pe. 1:5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;
2Pe. 1:6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;
2Pe. 1:7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.
2Pe. 1:8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace of God means making what is impossible with man to become possible through the application of divine power. Divine power is able to give a human being everything s/he needs for life and godliness. Divine power is able to make a human being to be perfectly holy. The power does not belong to man, but to God. God making His power available for human beings to use is what grace is all about. God has made His divine power available for human beings to use; but if human beings do not employ the power, impossibilities will never become possible to them. That is why being perfect has remained an impossibility to human beings. Instead of human beings finding out how to employ the divine power that the Bible clearly says that God has given to us, pastors invent fake doctrine of grace, which says that we do not need to bother to be holy again since Jesus Christ is our righteousness. Jesus Christ is our righteousness because it is through him that divine power comes to us. Even then, if we do not employ the divine power, we will never be made righteous.

Ep. 1:18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
Ep. 1:19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
