Often times you hear citizens say they can’t go to the polls because regardless of who they vote for, the politicians always have their way in rigging the votes. But that is not totally true.

For instance, if we have 1,000 registered voters in a Polling Station and on election day, 400 voters come out to cast their votes, we would have unwittingly given the politicians the opportunity to stuff up the remaining 600 votes in their favour. But if the 1,000 registered voters come out to exercise their right, it will be absolutely difficult for the politicians to manufacture additional votes.

Have you not wondered that despite low voters turnout in most elections, the votes counted often times correspond to the number of registered voters and not more? That is the first and most effective line of rigging!

Let us do our part, let us go out to vote. Let’s go CHANGE the system of things!

Don’t you think?
