Come on, so where's his freedom to choose? The only reason why I'd support this kind of deportation is if the people involved were children who are under 18 then your proposition of relocating them to their hometowns will be viable. A disabled adult, has the perfect mental capacity to make decisions for himself. What about the constitution that provides that a Nigerian can choose to live anywhere in Nigeria? Or in this case we shouldn't abide by our laws cause its Fashola's government's decision?

Why wount the fedral government stop this inhumanisation by Fashola and crew? What is the meaning of governance that cares less even for the less privileged? Bunddle bonafide citizens of a nation with fedral system of government from their state of sourgeon and survival to an unknown destination where they will all stay die off. If they are yet managing to survive in a place where they are established, how on earth will they survive in this alien environment they are forced to relocate to? How is the Lagos state government sure that all of these people hail from Kano? Assuming Fashola by virtue of birth found himself in the predicament of these people, would he have loved to be treated like this? Atleast, we are still a federal state, not confedrated. I thought we were canvasing for the abolition of indigineousity at the just concluded National confrence? Why wount there be a national order to stop this mess? The least any sane government could on such an issue is to raise a camp, take these people there and take care of them.

Why should lagos and the SW cater for responsibilities of other states. They send their economic refugees , should we also take care of their vagrants and destitutes?
Many of these states collect huge sums of money relative to their small population (made huge by a fraudulent census.) . North ,East and South .they collect money and waste the money building rubbish.
Even yet , their governors and leaders spend all their time partying in Abuja .Their local government exist only in the nigerian constitution and only opens once a week to share/steal the allocation into their pockets.
Many so-called Agro states do not have a single functional tractor.
Schools : either does not exist or could as well not exist.
Hospitals: you must be joking.
Government and governance: non existent and only useful for building business empires.
Any aspiring filmmaker should go to a typical lagos police station at night, to see the sheer number of destitutes and young under-aged girls selling their bodies.
I can understand someone being transferred or looking for a specialist kind of work and opportunity but for everything else, no state or region ,especially Those comprising the big 3 ethnic groups should be exporting huge numbers of migrant.
They can make their states into become whatever they are looking for in lagos .
You can be in some parts of osun and get 10 terrestrial TV stations built and funded by both the government and individuals. Same thing goes with education , health , hospitality etc.
They do not create the environment for their people to thrive and later blame someone else for their failing.
The Lagos government should know that there are indigens of Ekoo and their interest must always come first in everything from housing , health and other social services.

don't be deceived , d igbos have d highest numbers of crimes in Lagos . Am telling from statistics . Drug dealings, armed robbers, kidnappers, pirating, prostitutes. Rituals e.t.c. If the Yorubas are lazy , how come the west is more developed than the east? Are u sayin the igbos developed Lagos ?

Lagos this, Lagos that, if I may ask why is Lagos is the only developed state in the South western part of Nigeria? Why is your Ibadan littered with old roofed valueless houses, your Ondo and Ekiti littered with mud houses? Then your Osun one bush place, even Ogun is developing just due to the influence of Lagos?

If you people are so good as claimed why didn't you apply your ingenuity to the other parts of Yorubaland? Why do all of you resort to just this one small and over rated Lagos in your bragging?

Even the so called Lagos just have the Island as intensely developed with skyscrappers simply cos the Island was where the whitemen settled?

You people make one sick with these your useless braggings about nothing. Imagine bragging about a city that the whiteman first developed, built with our collective wealth as the first capital, then jointly developed by all, particularly Igbos.

Abeg go sit down for gutter you owo mi da yahooze agbero.

Stop there .the SW earns her keep. You better look at the sources of federal income to know that. No one ask for regionalism to be abolished. True and loose federalism and resource control is the minimum demand of the people. The potential value of tourism from peace without all the baggage that comes with nigeria is unquantifiable.

Boss... This ain't no indiscriminate deportation but a strategic one...

If any one from any tribe even if it's a Yoruba in Lagos is the one being a nuisance there is no reason they can't be deported..

Many northerners are left alone and not deported..

So it has nothing to do with ethnicity but what they have got to offer...

I am happy that Nigerians are getting wiser daily. This thread is meant to create division between Yorubas and Hausa/fulanis but, the responce i have read so far gives me hope that ethnicity and religious cards are no more valuable tools to divide us. The positive CHANGE must COME by God's grace....Peace.
