Questions centered on the well being of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) continue to linger as the septuagenarian failed to make two campaign stops due to fatigue, according to sources.

The General was noticeably absent at the Osun Walk for Change on Wednesday and instead was represented by his younger, more vibrant deputy, Pastor Yomi Osinbajo.

According to a source with knowledge of the campaign schedules, the campaign stops are being shared between Buhari and Osinbajo so as to prevent the general from over exerting himself due to his fragile state.

Adding to the concerns, sources who monitored the APC rally in Calabar say that the General tripped and fell flat as he mounted the stage to address the crowd.

“I’m sure you noticed Buhari was absent in Edo today and sent Osinbajo to represent him. This is due to his state of health and the stress of the campaign. Ordinarily he should be able to make the trip as several private jets are at his beck and call but he disappointed the supporters in Edo who many have even hailed as an APC stronghold”, our source said via telephone.

I wonder who needs education here, its a pity some of Nigeria youths are so myopic in thinking that they can't vividly differentiate between town hall meeting and a public rally. We have few weeks to the election and more grounds gat to be covered hence APC strategised on best way to reach out to the downtrodden masses in their thousands yet some mis informed people still look for ways to castigate them! Why are some people not even tired of this government that has failed us?
