I remember watching the colourful parades on the NTA as s kid. I've not watched any recently, is it still shown?

RIP to the gallant departed soldiers. Your labours shall never be in vain!

Unfortunately gej did not deem it fit to declare today a public holiday, too sad. May the soul of our fallen heroes rest in peace.

I wish that more people in Nigeria would buy and wear the remembrance day emblem. The money that's raised from the sale of the emblem is used to take care of injured and aged retired soldiers.

Last year President Jonathan made it mandatory for all visitors and workers at the Aso Rock Villa to buy and wear the emblem before they would be given access into the Villa.

It's impossible to see any prominent British politician that is not wearing the emblem in late October/early November. All EPL managers (both english and foreign) wear the emblem in October/November.

In the past they used to show the ceremony at 10 o'clock in the night (remember that tv stations did not start transmitting until 5 o'clock in the evening), but now they show it live.

They should show it around 10 or 11 o'clock this morning on the NTA Network Service.

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron.
