President Goodluck Jonathan is the only Patriotic President of Nigeria since we gain Independence from Britain in 1960.

By Patriotism we mean an absolute and unshakable faith in the State of Nigeria and her Institutions. He is the only Nigerian President who lead by Example, Its never been heard before that the Only Dearest Sister of a sitting President will be taken to a Government Hospital when she is critically ill without flying her abroad to Germany or the Uk to seek Medical care.

We wish to express our condolence to the family of Jonathan and to also use this opportunity to commend Mr President for His Patriotic insistance that His Beloved Sister must be Treated in a Government Hospital like every other Nigerian even when He have the resources and influences to take her abroad for Medical treatment. This Portray an Unshakable Faith in Nigeria and Her People

May their souls RIP. But since you're making politics of the issue, let me say this: Buhari's first daughter Zulai, also died in a Nigerian hospital. She died in November 2012 after delivering a baby in Nasara Hospital, Maraca Estate in Kaduna. The 40 year old was hardly known until her death.

its clear act of Patriotism Judging by the past records of former Nigeria Presidents who flew their family members abroad at the slightest Head-Ache.

What i find most remarkable is Jonathans insistance that his Sister Must be treated in a Government Hospital not even a Private Hospital.

Jonathan is a man who believe in the Nigeria Project

not somebody like Pa Buhari who did not lay even a foundation for any University during his Regime but is quick to send his Daughter abroad to study in Surrey University where the tuition fee is £16,000 plus

This has got to be the most useless and idiotic thread ever!!

Firstly, Jonathan isn't the ONLY president who's lost a blood relative on Nigerian soil. All other past Presidents must have suffered the same fate.

Secondly, why play politics with the dead??

Thirdly, how in Glorious heavens does losing a sister or loved one on domestic soil amount to patriotism

These JonaTANians make me sick.

Jonathan is in Germany and other part of the world to carry-out His state function to the People of Nigeria. He is there to carry out Bilateral Military, Economic and Social Political agreement with the Republic of Germany.

Especially issues like Military agreement with Germany are kept strickly classified State Secret. Because Exposing it not only Jeopardize and defeat the entire exercise but also Place Germany under a direct conflict and threat of the Global Jihadist. Do you think Germany want to risk Al Queda declaring war against her interest in every part of the world because of her help to crush Boko Haram militaryly? So whenever he made such unannounced Trip abroad the Apc and all Merchants of Fake news start rising Dust unnecessaryly and accusing Him of Medical trips

THE TRUTH IS SOMEONE LIKE JONATHAN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS SIBLINGS LET ALONE HIS COMMUNITY BECAUSE IF YOU TAKE A CRITICAL LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF HIS LATE SISTER THAT WAS RELEASE TO THE PRESS YOU WILL NOTICE THAT THE LADY DOESNT LOOK LIKE SOMEONE WHO WAS PROPERLY TAKEN CARE OF, SO I MIGHT NOT BE WRONG IF I CONCLUDE THAT THE LADY DIED IN PENURY. SOMEONE LIKE JONATHAN WILL PREFER TO SPEND HIS MONEY ON AlCOHOL WITH HIS FRIENDS AND OTHER LADIES THAN TO SPEND IT WITHIN HIS FAMILY CIRCLE.

THANKS

Speculations were rife on Wednesday that the trip of President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience, to Germany which the Presidency described as “a private visit” might be on health grounds.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, had on Tuesday issued a statement indicating that Jonathan would leave Abuja for Germany en-route to Paris, France to participate in the Summit on Peace and Security in Africa.

Abati said the President would stop over in Germany for a private visit on his way to Paris and return to Abuja at the conclusion of the summit on Saturday.

The announcement of the “private visit” coming a few weeks after he fell sick in London, fuelled speculation that Jonathan might have decided to visit the same German hospital where his wife sought medical attention for about seven weeks last year

Now this post goes to vindicate the funny postulations of those that said GEJ sacrificed his sister. Again its points to the fact that the hospital may not have the relevant resources to treat her and he kept her their, whoever knows a Government hospital knows its standard.
Abeg make una de do propaganda careful and before una continue make una answer this question? if the sister of Patience is that ill do you think Goodluck or PEJ will allow that sister to be treated in a Government hospital in Yenagoa? Who una wan deceive sef?

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday arrived in the country from Germany where he was said to have gone to for "a private visit."

LEADERSHIP gathered that the president, whose jet touched down at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 4:32pm, was received by his chief of staff, Brig.-Gen. Jones Arogbofa (retd.); minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Muhammed, and the acting Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba.

Clad in a pair of navy blue suit, a white shirt and his trademark Niger Delta hat, Jonathan went directly into his official residence where he was also received by family members and some close aides on arrival at the presidential villa.

He is expected to lead the federal government delegation to a service of songs being organised in honour of the late former minister of information, Prof. Dora Akunyili, at the Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Pro-Cathedral, Garki, Abuja today (Tuesday).

Jonathan left the country last Friday, a day after his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, had issued a terse statement to the effect that he would be back in the country early this week after a private visit to that country in the company of few of his aides.

But LEADERSHIP Weekend, our sister publication, had reportedly exclusively that the president had travelled to Germany to treat an undisclosed illness.

While a dinner for members of the just-concluded 2014 National Conference on Thursday was also said to be cancelled due to the president's illness, effort to reach the president's media team to confirm the said report was futile.

But speaking to another newspaper on Sunday night, presidential spokesman, Abati, described the report of the president's ill-health as "the figment of the writers' imagination."

According to him, Jonathan had the right to go on private visits and that was not only hale and hearty but also treating files in his hotel room.

He said, "Before leaving Nigeria, I issued a statement that the president will be embarking on a private visit to Germany with a few of his aides. On Saturday, I sent out a statement that the president spoke with the Falconets on the telephone. I also sent out the video and audio of his conversation with the players where he promised to stay awake and watch the final match.

"The NTA and some other broadcasting stations aired the video and audio. There are also photographs out there showing the president when he was leaving Nigeria and when he was arriving in Germany. The president is hale and hearty. In fact, he is treating files in his hotel room.

"Are these not enough proofs that Mr. President is not sick as they want Nigerians to believe?"

Abati further recalled that a similar private visit embarked upon by the president to Germany last December had sparked reports that he had gone "in search for treatment for ill health.

LEADERSHIP recalls that Jonathan's wife, Patience, was in 2012 admitted in a German hospital for an undisclosed ailment. She had left Nigeria unannounced in August that year and spent about seven weeks abroad. Her media aides had denied that she was sick, saying she was just holidaying.

However, the woman, on her return, revealed that she almost died in a German hospital.
