Moderate Muslims are always quick to denounce the atrocities of Boko Haram as un-Islamic wherein the likes of Shekau have defended their acts citing references in the very same Koran. But what you will hardly hear from these self styled advocates of Islam being a peaceful religion is sympathy for the victims of Boko Haram but rather what we get is a different narrative putting the blame of an intolerant religion on a Christian led administration. Politicization of the crisis and not a genuine call to an end to this madness is the path they have chosen.

According to them, the only solution to ending the insurgency rests on a regime change preferably to a northern muslim led and dominated government. Ignoring all factors that gave rise to the Jihad group, their only solution to the end of this madness (to which they expect us to believe) does not rest in curtailing radical Islam and it's spread but simply by getting a northern muslim who will naturally, for reasons known to them only, see to an end to the insurgency and carnage.

If this doesn't sound like out right blackmail then I don't know what this is.

So called moderate elements in Saudi Arabia are given free and unhindered access to the corridors of power in the west where they are staunch advocates for the "religion of peace" but that doesn't stop the Wahabbi group from funding radical elements globally. In Afghanistan, Americans considered the Pakistanis as crucial allies and went a step further to give military aid in the billions. But that did not stop Pakistan from assisting the Taliban and Al Qaeda which happen to be sworn enemies to the US. Osama bin Laden's last days was spent in a luxurious mansion at the heart of Pakistan in a neighborhood populated by senior Pakistani Military officials and close to one of the biggest military bases in that country.

Qatar is a major ally to the US but that does not stop Qatar from funding and assisting radical elements in Libya or fund the Muslim Brotherhood. Speaking of the Muslim Brotherhood, this is a group which was supported by the Obama administration and seen as reformed and democratized but that did not stop the Muslim brotherhood thugs to go burning Coptic churches all over Egypt.

From my understanding so far a Radical Muslim will kill you but a moderate Muslim will only relate to you how peaceful their religion is but will truly never condemn the acts of their fellow Muslim.

And who are we to blame for Boko Haram? The Military guys trying to curtail them or the Bokos going on rampage in the first place and their fellow muslims who will like us to see this as not in any way connected to Islam?
