Denn, now that's a colour that really does your Bug justice! It looks awesome.

I think a nice set of wheels and replacement running boards would really set this car off.

Getting wheels in a 4 X 130 configuration in Nigeria would be a daunting affair. No modern car uses that configuration any more.

Possible options remain changing the brake drums to discs to get a common 4 X 100 or 5 X 100. Getting vacumm to the brake servo remains a daunting task too.

Some guys have suggested drilling new holes but I shy away from metal stress.

Other inputs have suggested imports...

What do you suggest?

I too would suggest importing. 15/16/17" 4x130 PCD wheels for air-cooled VW and early Porsche are abundant in the UK. And they are period enough to be in keeping with the classic looks of a Bug.

There are also hub adapters available to match your 4x130 PCD hubs to pretty much any 4-stud / bolt wheel pattern.

Drilling is definitely dangerous, and should not be done.
