SAMBARRY: Make u park well jare. How many 10 years and 13 years old can take care of themselves and the home in the absence of their parents. Remember these kids don't live in Nigeria, they must have been pampered. So you support that hopeless woman who went partying across the continent. I hope you will not behave like the said woman. If what she did was right, she wouldn't have been arrested and her kids taken away. Make you behave well jare. 1 Like |

So don't get your parenting advice I will never leave my kids alone in the house even at 15. My dog goes to doggy daycare every week days sef. I don't condone any irresponsible act of sort. Hmm that's not true. Many Igbo folks like owanbe parties. I didn't even know aso-ebi was a Yoruba thing until I grew up because I grew up seeing it at all weddings trad and white alike. Those days in lagos. See Igbos at owanbe parties on our street. Invited or not Ewuro4: 1 Like |

I don't know why its even being seen as an 'abroad' or 'west' thing. Even in Nigeria i know people don't take children to parties but children are left with adults to supervise even at 10 or 13.. I think my own parents were a tad bit overprotective but most people that I knew growing up always had an adult in the house even at 15/16.there will sha be one grandma or aunty. I got into university at 16/17 and I remember my dad following me to queue up for registration by the 3rd day I told him I will find my way because it was just getting embarassing. So me I don't get all this 'oyinbo' or 'abroad' children ish. The state of the house is not an even an issue perse cos who knows the house might always look like that even with mum there..(i have watched enough how clean is your house to know some people live in filth) that one was just to 'add pepper' for social services.I know someone who social services added her daughter's hair always looking ratchet to part of her child neglect allegations. Once those people are on your case EVERYTHING is an issue. |
Re: Woman Arrested For Leaving Her 2 Kids Alone Abroad To Attend Wedding In Nigeria by Stillfire: 10:30pm On Feb 16, 2015 |
Ewuro4: Lol, I always say it here I prefer to go to Yoruba parties. I wont be surprised if I'm in one youtube owanbe clip. As for sewing uniform, my mum would only sew a uniform during Igbo village meetings. For weddings she would wear what she likes. My dad doesn't even have a traditional wear, lol. I think it's recent Igbo people are imbibing some color code into weddings too, only the bride or groom used to coordinate or maybe the maidens following the bride. Igbos are not strict on the asoebi thing. I've seen Yoruba wear asoebi for a 6 year old doing her birthday, wear a different asoebi for sunday thanksgiving...these are the things we find weird, I wont lie. In my mind I'm like hanhan it's not that serious. lol. 4 Likes |

I guess NL critiques are hypocrites then. My Igbo Aunty will flaunt her George & even tell the artiste to call her latest new car she just landed and take the center stage , dance so Tay till mobile bank's out of $1 bills lobatan I must confess , had to ask her if she's sure of her paternity |

Stillfire: Cool ! @bold.. Lol at 'its not that serious', when my fiancé first visited my house and the first large portrait starring him on the face was mine - 4 years old traditional attire (all damask) , his facial expression was priceless he was like whoa! We attend all white church and my kids are always in dresses and aso ebis and gele (yes). they always take their pictures in church, they just can't help it. too much **** Just one life, one life to live. I savour every moment with no regrets. |

This story is a bit old. The woman allegedly left the boys with her brother or asked him to stop and check on them. The brother would drop off food instead of checking on his nephews. He went a whole week without even showing up at their place. |

Na una dey spoil these children rotten. She's a child she can't do this she can't do that. Ahannnn.we are talking about 10 and 13 year olds o not 5 and 3 or imbecilic teens. Nawa o.so i cannot go and dance to flavour, davido, patoranking or k1 because of one child. Teenager and adolescent for that matter 9jatatafo:

soulglo:How can I be sold off at 13. I am just using a 13 year old girl getting married as an illustration to make you see that they are not as small as you think they are. That's my point. If a 13 year old girl at the north who's an illiterate is taking care of a home and a baby ALONE without any mummy coming to supervise how come her counterpart in UK cannot cook for her self and her sister and also keep the home clean in their mom's absence for just few weeks |

edwife:What are you wondering Mrs ediwife. You better train edi children very well before them turn 19 and they are still asking you mummy should I put sugar or salt in the soup on fire |
Re: Woman Arrested For Leaving Her 2 Kids Alone Abroad To Attend Wedding In Nigeria by edwife(f): 11:31am On Feb 17, 2015 |
SAMBARRY: Of course they are very well trained and i will make sure i am there for them in and out. They don't need to ask me if they should put sugar or not, they already know what is good and bad, when it is enough or not-you know why? Because mummy was there and will be there to teach them and make sure they are responsible adults Sambarry joke apart, not every child who cater for themselves end up good. All these touts you have in Lagos where are they from? Being there for your child does not equate to spoiling them.We won't always be there all the time for them,so any chance you get to be with your kids, grab it! Do you know how dangerous houses abroad are? the gas alone is a danger that needs a grown up around in case of an accident. What if those kids on the heater or cooker and forget to switch them off?and i think that is the more reason their mother did not leave the heater for them, she knows the risk involved. No one said you should not go to parties, you need to know what is necessary or not. They are certain things we all want to do in a certain time in our life,we don't do them not because we can't but because we evaluate our surroundings and make sure no one will be affected if we decide to do so. One needs to set boundaries in life and there are boundaries you just don't cross |
