I guess we can have a democracy if people stop thinking that the road to development lies with their tribesman or woman, or their tribal ally getting The Job No 1 in the capital....the leadership. That is why we created states here in Nigeria...to bring development closer to the people. But states in Nigeria have failed....because if they had not, some of thise people shouting GEJ till 2015 or 2019...would have been shouting at their state governors instead.

My Kenyan colleagues do tell me what democracy is like in their country. They are like Nigeria in everyway except that infrastructure still works in their country. However, Kenyan Parliament members earn the second largest allowances in Africa. Of course, you can guess the country that holds the first position...hehehe

A typical politician like Tinubu and Obasanjo will conduct elections in such a way that rigging would be easy

It's a long time simple theory used by desperates interested parties to create fear and uncertainty in a country, by instigating terroristic activities prior to an elections in a bid to cause social unrest in the country.

It's has worked effectively in some countries around the world, but one thing America fails to understand is that Nigeria is totally different from those countries; because our electorates are not that enlightened to vote along these lines.
