Just as former president Chief Olusegun Obasanjo decided to part way with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by publicly shredding his PDP membership card, it probably was not foreseen that his action would be replicated so soon.

In a new development, the senior special assistant on security to Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe state has also decided to go the Obasanjo way.

Alhaji Abdullahi Babangida Muhammad has supported the former president Obasanjo’s idea of tearing up his PDP membership card. The aide to the governor of Gombe was shown on camera shredding his PDP membership card and pledging his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

well, truth be told, if the remaining pdp members can be united and swim against the tide, bet it, they are going to be stronger than before. Apc won't last long with the likes of Tinubu , Atiku and obasanjo. Apc was not founded a as real opposition party, real opposition party in the sense that, it comprises anti-jonathan's government and lack political ideology. How can you talk about change when the people that would bring the change are either adamant dictators or political thieves. A party without common ideology. Apc is a party created by people who are not only greedy but people who are bastardly thirsty for central power and desperate to taste national power. Obasanjo and Tinubu can get together, two rams with huge horns can drink water in the same container. You can imagine, is it possible for Tinubu, obasanjo and Atiku to go together? Yes we are tired of Pdp but the current dispensation of Apc is not the option to choose.. I see Apc as a flour which can be blown away when exposed to wind. Apc is not change but the second version of Pdp. We need New people that will bring new ideas.

Some of your points are true but PDP should have brought a sellable candidate not GEJ. He is too incompetent and promotes corruption!

incumbency is another strong factor. Pdp cnt under play the power of incumbency.

The truth remains gej has been given massive support in 2011, where many saw him as a very calm n collected person wit great n proffesional demeanor. Unfortunately he has dissapointed so many pple as his body language n actions supports corruption in all it ramifiction.

There are other parties!!!

We are not joined at the hip to the two main parties. If they don't meet your requirements then choose another party!

It is rather late in the day for you to come to the conclusion in your write-up above. If not for the postponement, the presidential elections would have been concluded 3 days ago and we would have been talking about the winner now. The points you are making now should have been brought up at least 4 months ago.

Its too late to complain now - unless you intend to sit on the fence and abstain on election day. Which of course means you lose the right to complain if things get worse.
