That's why the progressives extend a hand of fellowship to Kwankwaso because he's progressive by nature. 2 Likes |

[quote author=drshrewd post=30881192] [color=#990000][b]Kwankwaso achieved all these without 13% oil derivation? this means that all the ss governors (except Rotimi Amaechi) are criminals Why do u like deceiving yourself, so because amaechi has decamped to APC, then he is not corrupt, pls say the truth all the time and stop dis politics of bitterness 2 Likes |

Eluwilussit: Largely because he did not get the support needed to win the APC primaries. He was not just beaten by Buhari in round 1...he was also beaten by Atiku too as well. |

Decryptor: But it is still impressive. With all that oil allocation since 2004, the South South is supposed to be looking like Dubai, and the youth are supposed to be equipped with 21 century skills.....but then again....none of that is happening. Still...I would love it if governors spent more on education....especially technical education. We need more technicians....not office workers. 3 Likes |

It's a nice project. Kano is part of the North that contributes absolutely nothing to the Nigeria treasury. All they know is how to shout "Sai Buhari" and "one Nigeria" so that they can keep collecting their monthly allocation of the South-South oil money. Well it's good that the 'parasites' who's only contribution to Nigeria is Boko Haram are using some of the oil money for something beneficial to the common man. 2 Likes |

bushdoc9919: That means popularity does not equate ability, abi? There's indeed a lack of patriotism in the land. Why didn't Buhari support such a man? Why? |
Re: IS This Kano? by Nobody: 3:23pm On Feb 19, 2015 |
Stop talking like an uninformed man, kano is among the top ten states that takes highest allocation from federal govt, apart from that Local Government Allocation highest of it goes to kano cos it has 44 LGAs, The terrain of kano and Niger Delta are not the same, a road that you can contruct with 1 billion naira in kano can take up to 3 billion naira in niger delta. drshrewd: 1 Like |

CHESSBOARD: South South states do get far more than Kano or any Northern state, since 2004 when the Supreme Court ruled that FG should be paying 13% derivation. The South South still has a long way to go. Sorry....but oil money does not develop people......education, and innovation develops people. Because if South SOuth governors had been serious from 1999....mayhaps we would not have had militants and oil thieves in the first place. (Lagos has a high IGR....because it is the business capital's location). 1 Like |
