PDP Does Not Want Elections In Borno, Alleges State Government by midolian(m): 8:00am On Feb 21, 2015
Borno State Government yesterday alleged that there was a grand design by Peoples Democratic Party to ensure that the forthcoming general elections in the state did not hold.

Addressing journalists in Maiduguri, the Commissioner of Information, Dr. Mohammed Bulama said the recent politically motivated attack and allegations by the party were parts of the orchestrated plan to thwart the forthcoming elections in Borno Sate.

Bulama said; "Everyone knows that the PDP cannot win the forthcoming elections as they have been nowhere in the last four years when the state had to go through its hardest time in its Annal.

"Since the PDP knows that they are going to meet their Waterloo during the elections, they do not want the day to come or try as much as possible to discredit our victory which is already assured".

The commissioner insisted that; "The PDP has nothing to lose should the election not hold but on our part we have everything to lose since we are waiting for the day to get our mandate renewed.

"It is a known fact that the leaders of the PDP in the state, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and Alhaji Mohammed Imam are the promoters of politics of violence and are presently drawing from the reservoir to destabilise the state."

"That Sheriff having lost his bid for the senate has nothing to protect but to see that Governor Kashim Shettima who has grown to become his major traducer does not get his mandate renewed.

"On his part, Mohammed Imam has seen that the election is already won and lost and he does not have the intention of accepting his fate and move on without an inglorious fight."

He added that the state government and the All Progressives Congress (APC) would do everything to ensure that the elections were held for "we can see that we have the chance of not only winning the state but forming government at the federal level."

He however warned the members of the public to be wary of Sheriff's game plan, insisting that "we are fighting against the master of political manipulation and a desperate politician who can even make you believe that black is white with lies and manipulation.

"You need not be reminded that Sheriff is presently being investigated by the International Court of Justice for his involvement in Boko Haram insurgency and surely a character like this can do everything for power even to the extent of hiring thugs and dressing them in the oppositions regalia to attack his party structure in order to deceive everyone and score a point."

It would be recalled that the PDP in Borno State had alleged that the state governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima had used thugs and members of the youth vigilante to attack its party supporters and razed one of its campaign offices during Monday's campaign visit of General Muhammadu Buhari to Maiduguri.

It is not a Design but a Fact of Right and Law that if anywhere in Nigeria is unsuitable for our number one man to move freely without being harassed and booed, that place must be closed for business. PDP is not closing the place. It is the FG AND MR. PRESIDENT. So Bornu, Yobe, Adamawa, Gombe, Bauchi and Sokoto must behave, if they wish to continue as Nigerians.

APC and allegations.
If these states does not want to behave like citizens then let them be left out.
After-all where were you all when the insurgency started?
a state government wil say they do not know the hide outs of a group with a population large enough to form a local government.
