Any woman can be slapped or beaten if she deserves it. We are all humans, I've learnt to never say never when it comes to relationships. Women are always quick to cry foul whenever issues of domestic violence comes on but if we carefully analyze majority of domestic violence situations, women were the instigators especially in western cultures(My uncle's wife slapped my grandma, my uncle slapped her back, she called police accused him of domestic violence. Uncle lost his house and his freedom).

My advice to real men out there, if a woman starts demanding equal rights in your home, get rid of her. If she doesn't see you as the head of the household, you're only going to get frustrated and we all know what frustration leads to....... Finally there are several ways to deal with a woman besides hitting her, a wise man should educate himself on a few of these methods, it pays far more than violence!

I reason with the OP! I think he lives up to his moniker.

I can't rule out beating up my wife, matter of fact I would have no qualms beating her up should she talk or act in a way that warrants it.

I'm not like these other "eager to please" guys who will say they can't touch a woman no matter what (many of which haven't been tested).. Lol fortunately for me, I'm not guided by those same principle, so I make no such declarations or promises.

I will prefer to avoid resorting to any form of physical altercation however, I won't rule it out. I'm from the school of thought which says respect is reciprocal, women should learn to act in a civil & respectful manner & in return you will get respect from your husband without asking.

When you act like a mad woman & words of mouth fail to permeate your head, then my hands will rise to the task & administer some corrective medicine.

There is a huge difference between responding in a "reactive" or "proactive" way to aggression.
The way we chose to respond is a matter of training and personal internal civilization.
If you respond in a proactive way, it keeps your own dignity and the one who addresses you alive. That way you show that someone else will not define how you respond but you yourself. It makes you have control over the situation instead of others. You keep the power at your side instead of losing it by responding with violence.
There is a strong need and urge to end domestic violence in Naija and a high need to learn to control temper and respond in alternative ways.
I would also remind men who are physically stronger than women to consider that it are only cowards who take a weaker prey or respond to the buzzing of a mosquito. Know your strength and know how to control your power position. That's what a man makes a man and a leader makes a leader.

Women will always desire to win an argument regardless of whatever moral values their disposition tends to obliterate. A woman who loves and respects you will never speak to you in an untoward manner, neither would a man, nor even get physical with you. Women are the real cause of marital problems but they will never accept this..Check every dispute in a family, the woman is the major cause of the quarrel. I know of a woman that slaps the husband regularly, just because the man dey form i will not beat her until she slapped him in the public. Thats when he knew that enough was enough..the man waited until they got home and dealt with her big time..since then, she respected herself.
