In a country where a greater percentage of her youth population either have higher degrees or are striving towards obtaining higher degrees both within and outside the shores of Nigeria. It beats my imagination why some ignorant persons want us to settle for a Herdsman as our President and to make matters worse, a Prof. as VP. That is an insult to well-read Nigerians.

Jeez! That is change, yes change, but what change if I may ask? A change that would make generationext marvel at our shallow-mindedness?

Employers in most job adverts seek for applications from First Class or Second Class Upper graduates ONLY, with 25years work experience...these are the minimum requirements for an entry level role in Nigeria. Logically, the highest office in the land should be occupied by a Ph.D holder as that marks the peak of one's educational achievements. GEJ, a Ph.D holder is sound in both character and learning which is evident in the smooth implementation of the transformation agenda.

It wouldn't make sense that the millions of graduates in Nigeria are led by someone who does not understand the importance of education as he never went through the walls of a degree awarding higher institution...yes I mean Pa Buhari!

Taking a cue from developed nations like US, UK, etc. You will find out that most of their leaders graduated from Ivy League Colleges like Yale, Oxford, Harvard, Cambridge, Carnegie Mellon, MIT, etc. Ours who is home bred should also be supported.

We the masses recruiting for the No. 1 job in the land must look beyond ethnic sentiments and hire the most qualified for the job...both in terms of academic qualifications and experience on the job. GEJ is the most qualified. Apart from his educational achievements, the past 16 years has really taught him what leadership entails. We cannot afford to reinvent the wheel, we should be making progress instead.

Let's unanimously support GEJ so he can continue the steady implementation of the transformation agenda.

Buhari is not academically, mentally, psychologically and morally prepared to proffer 21st Century solutions to 21st Century problems as the world has gone beyond crude solutions like firing squad and flogging peeps.

I see gross human rights violations if Buhari becomes Nigerias President.

APC should have presented sound minds within their fold like Oby Ezekwesili or Pat Utomi as flag bearer than a Buhari if they truly wanted a change...for the better or best

You are wrong bro. In US, you don't need a college degree to became a president. Also in UK, you don't need a university degree to become a prime minister or King.

He first of mentioned ivy leage institutions, now his saying a candidate must be a doctor, do u Mean Witch Doctor, Native Doctor,Medical Doctor or Herbalist...You just opened a thread stressing a dumb Point....Did your father have to become a doctor to run the house efficiently, or are u even. Doctor before u wrote this blaady post...It amazes me that out of sentiments, Nigerians are good @ finding faults @ everything regardless that the tables can turn against them...What Has ur Able doctor been able to do since he mounted that throne? Poverty has increased, Power is worse, Education keeps Getting Worse, Jobs are Scarce, fuel Price flunctuating as Exhange rate...Look I voted in GEJ in 2011 after the shoeless lie he told me,but that man isn't fit to run a Home talkless of an economy, his a blAady Follower not a Leader...Even If GMB presents his Manifesto, I will vote for Him,his a Leader...NB Jesus Christ Never Went To School, but you and I revere him, what more of a military administrator that has an SSCE result and is eloquently sound than you

Yes, but JEG has messed up everything even primary 3 pupil is more competent than JEG, PDP has been killing APC supporters in rivers state yet gej is not saying anything as if they are not nigerians, same thing he did to the north east simply because they are opposition, thats why we say JEG is not competent. GMB we know, GMB we will vote for.

One of the meanings of DEMOCRACY :

The absence of hereditary or arbitrary class distinctions or privileges.

I sometimes think that we as Nigerians are so used to knee-jerk reasonableness, when taking the moral high ground.

Running for public elected office has been adjudged fair by common denominators, as written in the constitution, and
should be left as such, in availing most seekers a fair chance to contest. Having a PH.D only makes you a specialist in an
area of study, AND NOT a brainy or clever political office holder.
