Kudos to the Army and the president. One of the positives to take home. Change is coming anyways. Less work for Buhari/Osinbajo.

PEREP:
While our mixed feelings about the Nigerian Army Winnings over BH is genuine, we need to dimension the events leading to current happennings.
Firstly, we need to establish that buying weapons is not as simple as ABC? Not like buying chocolates @ shoprite and strolling back home with a full bag.

The boko haram war and menace, has evolved from stage to stage and with each new stage, comes a new discovery.

At stage 1,the NA never thought they were faced with a formidable opponent but unknowingly to them, they had something else coming. Boko haram grew to become formidable due to the activities of moles within the army. This sabotage, gave boko haram ample opportunity to stockpile arms looted from the NA armory, and from the black market.

At stage 2,boko haram used these arms to fight the NA and gained a lot of towns due to activities of sabotage in the army. The guerilla warfare tactic deployed by bh made it very difficult for the military to record significant progress. Nigeria hadn't been involved in something like this before, and the weapons possessed by the military were better suited for conventional warfare. If they had deployed such then, innocent individuals would have been killed and this would have led to something else again.

At stage 3,the military realised they needed a different kind of approach to the insurgency and this approach meant getting new weapons and equipments that would suit the operations. At this stage, the FG approached our so called friends in the west for assistance with specific kind of weapons but they turned us down and even blocked most deals that would have sailed through. This forced us to go the black market way and again, the deal was blocked and a huge scandal was made about it.

At stage 4,the FG had to openly request a loan for arms purchase and this loan would not be received in cash. A foreign govt would supply us arms directly to the tune of 1bn dollars, thereby eliminating the biz of middle-men in the deals. At the end,we ended up patronising the Russians and the Chinese for stuffs that our friends couldn't give us because they kept citing poor human rights records as a reason for not selling to us.

At stage 5,all the mistakes learnt from the onset have been sorted out, neighbouring countries whose bordering towns used to be safe haven for bh have decided not to alloy their territories to be used as a base for fleeing terrorists, and have joined in the battle against the insurgents. Weapon transactions that have been in the pipeline, are gradually coming into fruition and the tide has been turned against the insurgents. Sooner than we think,we'd win this war.

Yes,we can't stay without blaming the NA or the president one way or the other but the truth is,there is no specialized manual world over, that teaches you how to successfully quench insurgency at once. The almighty US has been involved in at least 3 wars in the last 15 years and those countries where the wars occured, have been worse than the way the US met it. Libya,Iraq and Afghanistan are classic modern day examples. Even the US with all her might and weapons and technology, haven't been able to quench insurgency anywhere on the planet. If they had,we wouldn't still be talking about groups like Al-qaeda,ISIS,Al-shabab,Boko haram, etc. They are still learning on the job but they have more experience than us. The US with all her might, lost the Vietnam war that lasted for 30yrs cummullatively. The war was fought between the south Vietnam who were backed by the US and French forces, and the North Vietnam backed by China and the Soviet Union. At the end,the French and the US were defeated. Boko haram is not defeating us and despite our meagre defence budget,we're winning the war against them. Those who argue about Buhari defeating the Maitasine rebels shouldn't forget that those rebels never had the weapons or knowledge/support that the boko haram insurgents have. They also never had access to the kind of funds boko haram have. Finally, they never had a veritable means of spreading their propaganda and creating a larger than life image of themselves.

When we put all these together,we'd know why some of us still give kudos to the current C-in-C and the military high command. Under them,Nigeria faced a new challenge and still overcame it. No leader in this history of Nigeria, has faced this kind of issue. Having a growing economy tipped to be one of the top 10 in a few years time, and still having to battle insurgency at the same time. If only we never had the boko haram menace, only God knows the kind of giant strides we would have made as a nation.

At the end of the day,Nigeria shall overcome and we'd fulfil our potential as a nation.

son go will punish everyone DAT has bread dis and refused to click like...bad belle people..aka enemy of progress

When elements in GEJ’s government (Okupe, Fayose and FFK) vowed GMB will never become president, do not think they were bluffing. They are working day and night to make this a reality. They have devised several plans which have been neutralized in the past. Thanks to the proactive measures of some patriotic citizens. Please be informed that this government has not relented. New plans are being devised on a daily basis. The new plans are as follows. Please read and share widely. The idea is to let them know their plans have leaked.
Firstly, there are plans in the offing to impeach Rotimi Ameachi by hook or crook in a few days. This is to incapacitate him in many ramifications and as the campaign director of GMB Presidential campaign destabilize GMB’s campaign in general.
Secondly, suspects in prison for the murder of Funsho Williams are being primed to confess they were sent by Bola Tinubu. They have been promised heaven on earth even in prison if they can implicate him. The plan is to blackmail him into submission or at the very least distract him with a nauseous court case. It has been alleged GEJ met him in Badagry when he visited Lagos and tried to convince him to back out from supporting GMB. He was told he is number one on the list compiled by the General of those to be probed once he becomes President. Let it be known to all that Jagaban is under intense pressure at the moment to betray GMB. Lets pray this does not happen. (To be fair to him, he has not succumbed yet)
Nigerians must know the country at the moment is prostrate in a cesspit of corruption dug by a few. It is so humongous; Nigerians will shudder when they know the full details. And GEJ has been taken hostage by the monstrous clique of corrupt people responsible for this mess. Ordinarily, GEJ is willing to relinquish power if he losses. But these corrupt people have planted fear in him that GMB will send him to jail once he becomes President and discovers the level of rot in the system. That is why he is fighting tooth and nail to remain president. This much has been alluded to by General Obasanjo.
We must remain vigilant and be at alert. Do not ever disregard any information at this time. This government is capable of anything to sustain the status quo. They have the resources to accomplish much. The fake Shekau option has been discarded because it was leaked last week. The aforementioned plans among others are the new plans. The ‘ekitigate’ style is still very much on the table. You can see how it was tactically nipped in the bud at the House of Rep sitting last week.
There is still about 4wks to go before the elections. If one hour is a long time in politics you can imagine what 4wks will be. The ‘election will never hold’ plan is still alive depending on the success of their plans to weaken GMB’s campaign and decimate his support base in the coming weeks. If the plans succeed, elections may hold. If it does not, the ING contraption may be employed. Eternal vigilance is the price for freedom!. All eyes must be on this government and even on some elements in APC!

By the way, boko haram has been defeated
before, when Ihejirika was in charge, your brothers in crime, Northern elders, perhaps including buhari-de-boko, and el-tufia and co shouted that the general be fired and GEJ complied and didnt keep Ihejirika to finish them off. As soon as he left buhari boys came back alive.
Also, your screams made the west belive the NA was involved in killing civilians, and this created some hindrance in getting weapons fron the US. Well, now, the weapons have come. A coalition has also been established btw cameroon, chad and naija. No hiding place.

See how cameroonians marched in support of their military. But here in naija, buhari boys only rejoice when the nigerian army is being beaten

Anyways, Buhari-de-boko can never rule nigeria again

Why wait to act after the death of 15,000 people and hundreds of troops?
Why the delay after billions of naira destroyed before you acted?
Why, why, why Mr President?

For pro-GEJites the 2015 campaign is about
Buhari, Buhari and Buhari. For pro- GMBites the
2015 campaign is about Nigeria, Nigeria &
Nigeria.

Questions for Jonathan and PDP
1. Why was (is) "Boko Haram" busy destroying
states and areas that the opposition party will
win convincingly in the presidential election?
2. If we are to believe that the opposition were
the brains and architects of "Boko Haram",
then why is it that they have never ever
attacked and destroyed any prominent PDP
figure or their properties?
3. If the opposition have the capability of
arming "terrorists" with armour tanks, RPGs,
AA Guns, military uniforms, military trucks,
helicopters and the ability to command
soldiers to vanish from military checkpoints,
wouldn't they have targeted to destroy PDP
strongholds and their assets?
4. Why would the opposition seek to destroy
their own strongholds anyway? To achieve
what?
5. Why was (is) "Boko Haram" targeting to
destroy basically only prominent northern
politicians and their traditional rulers and their
communities?
6. In the light of questions 1 to 5 above, why
has there been a deliberate campaign of lies
and propaganda by the PDP and their religious
wing that collect bribes in billions of naira that
"Boko Haram" is the baby of the opposition?
7. Of all the cars used by "suicide" bombers
retrieved from the scene of their attacks, to
whom were the cars traced after forensic
investigations? Why is it that nothing is ever
heard after such evidences have been collated
at the scenes since 2011?
8. At the last count, over 500 hundred "Boko
Haram" suspects have been in detention since
2009, but why is it that government hasn't
been able to come clean on those sponsoring
the "terrorists", and why is it that, with such a
huge treasure trove, government has not been
able to know and curtail the operational
methods of the "terrorists"?
9. Why did the "terrorists" become stronger
after a scandalous 33 billion dollars (over 4
trillion naira) was expended on the so called
war against them?
10. Isn't it curious and suspicious that a
ragtag group called "Boko Haram" whose bulk
of fighters possibly had only one week
trainings could overcome and overrun our
military men who spend 5 years in the NDA,
some months in Jaji, and some months also
at the National War College in Abuja apart
from several overseas trainings?
11. Why was it that, at a point from 2013, the
Nigerian military was not taking the war to
"Boko Haram" camps in the deserts of the
northeast instead of waiting for "Boko Haram"
to come on the offensive?
12. Since when has repulsion become the best
form of defence instead of attack?
13. Why did "Boko Haram" have the most
freedom to operate and destroy so many
towns and villages during all the period of
State of Emergency that was supposed to have
made them immobile?
14. Was the State of Emergency some fraud
pulled off to empower the "terrorists" and
make the targeted communities sitting ducks
for easy elimination?
15. Who was providing "Boko Haram" with fuel
and other logistics in their camps considering
how they easily move with long convoys of
trucks to operate without challenge?
These are not the only questions.... There are
many more. But they've not been able to
answer any of these, rather they always want
to heap their scheme on others.
These questions and many more could be the
reason they are mortally scared of losing
political power. But it just can't continue like
this anymore.
Change is a basic constant in life.

Lack of patriotism

Are you satisfied with the wanton fraud, embezzlement of public funds, financial wastage?
Are you satisfied with how dysfunctional PHCN is?
Satisfied with the high unemployment rate?
Satisfied with the fact that 15000 nigerians were killed by Boko haram before weapons were supplied to the army because money meant for weapons have been embezzled?
Are you ready to continue with these situations, sluggish responding president, falling naira, declining economy and inflation?
...then vote PDP on March 28

Exactly my point all along. Those that believed Nigerian Army are not trained to handle a raghead minute group like boko haram were just ignoramuses or at least mischief makers. Now they should sincerely ask God for forgiveness for peddling silly/stup!d excuses why the Nigerian army was not able to handle boko haram. Their refusal to join in asking the government to do its primary responsibility has lead to the killing of 10000s of lives and millions displaced. This could have been avoided in less than 3hours.
But KUDOS to the BRAVE MEN ON THE FRONT LINE.

methods of the "terrorists"?
9. Why did the "terrorists" become stronger
after a scandalous 33 billion dollars (over 4
trillion naira) was expended on the so called
war against them?
10. Isn't it curious and suspicious that a
ragtag group called "Boko Haram" whose bulk
of fighters possibly had only one week
trainings could overcome and overrun our
military men who spend 5 years in the NDA,
some months in Jaji, and some months also
at the National War College in Abuja apart
from several overseas trainings?
11. Why was it that, at a point from 2013, the
Nigerian military was not taking the war to
"Boko Haram" camps in the deserts of the
northeast instead of waiting for "Boko Haram"
to come on the offensive?
12. Since when has repulsion become the best
form of defence instead of attack?
13. Why did "Boko Haram" have the most
freedom to operate and destroy so many
towns and villages during all the period of
State of Emergency that was supposed to have
made them immobile?
14. Was the State of Emergency some fraud
pulled off to empower the "terrorists" and
make the targeted communities sitting ducks
for easy elimination?
15. Who was providing "Boko Haram" with fuel
and other logistics in their camps considering
how they easily move with long convoys of
trucks to operate without challenge?
These are not the only questions.... There are
many more. But they've not been able to
answer any of these, rather they always want
to heap their scheme on others.
These questions and many more could be the
reason they are mortally scared of losing
political power. But it just can't continue like
this anymore.
Change is a basic constant in life.

Where are they driven to biko? My most concern in this renewed onslaught by our military is that they keep telling us that they "drove the insurgents out". Which means, chances of returning and continuing their attacks are still there. Why can't they chase them to the end of the earth until they give up and surrender than just driving them out to another location?

"More grease" Sorry about your mistake but just in case, you can remember

To topic, This is what we Nigerians wants to hear.

Kudos to our Brave Soldiers in on the front Line and not officers sitting in the office with Potbellied

Is it "More grease" or "More grace" ? ? M usually confused when I hear the two. More grease doesn't make sense... The elbow isn't a machine. More grace however, fits perfectly in.
