Stupidity is when you see some gullible and brainwashed people jubilating about the rehabilitation of Benin-Ore and Lagos-Ibadan federal roads while federal roads in their own domain are still in a deplorable state. Lagos,Ogun and Oyo state governments did not use state funds to rehabilitate Lagos-Ibadan expressway and where paid later neither did Mimiko and Adams Oshiomole do the same for Benin-Ore expressway. Their incessant cries and that of motorists forced FG to rehabilitate the roads. Why then should Enugu and Anambra state governments do the same for Onitsha-enugu road? 13 Likes |

This is what happens when contracts are given to friends/family instead of competent parties. Whoever awarded the contract should be sacked. Not sure how this is a presidential issue. You live in a federation - start holding your state governors to account and these things won't happen. |

When me President assumed office, 30,000km of Federal Roads were not paved but as we speak, 25,000km of these roads have been or currently being attended to which the Lagos-Ibadan, Benin-Ore, East West Road, etc are typical examples. I am sure this road is among the 5,000km pending repairs. I am sure GEJ will treat this with utmost priority. |

doctokwus: The naira is in free fall because foreign currency and oil prices are very much linked. This has been the status quo for Nigeria for decades. Until Nigeria's manufacturing and agricultural industries mature into global players then that will continue to be the case. Again I ask - what are the state governors doing to earn their keep? Hold your leaders to account on a local level and you will see changes but if you are mmore involved in your religious activities than political then you as a people will get what you deserve. |

Adyrin: You are partially right the Onitsha end of the road is in a better state and is undergoing active repairs. However the Enugu state portion, and also after Awka, is in a very terrible state and needs urgent attention. That road is also very busy and should not have been neglected or given to unreliable contractors to handle. It should be a national emergency. |
