Dear Moderator front page please.

The Igbo people in diaspora are really taking this Biafra thing to another level. They have inaugurated new embassies all around the world. With the recent commissioning of Biafra embassy in Spain (Sat. 28th of February 2015), It shows how serious they are about dividing Nigeria.

During the inauguration, these photos were taken and shared online.

“We thank God for his kindness, may the name of Chukwu Abiama be praised.”

Short History

Biafra, officially the Republic of Biafra, was a secessionist state in south-eastern Nigeria that existed from 30 May 1967 to 15 January 1970, taking its name from the Bight of Biafra (the Atlantic bay to its south). The inhabitants were mostly the Igbo people who led the secession due to economic, ethnic, cultural and religious tensions among the various peoples of Nigeria. The creation of the new state that was pushing for recognition was among the causes of the Nigerian Civil War, also known as the Nigerian-Biafran War.

The state was formally recognised by Gabon, Haiti, Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania and Zambia. Other nations which did not give official recognition but which did provide support and assistance to Biafra included Israel, France, Portugal, Rhodesia, South Africa and Vatican City. Biafra also received aid from non-state actors, including Joint Church Aid, Holy Ghost Fathers of Ireland, Caritas International, MarkPress and U.S. Catholic Relief Services.

After two-and-a-half years of war, during which a million civilians had died in fighting and from famine, Biafran forces agreed to a ceasefire with the Nigerian Federal Military Government (FMG), and Biafra was reintegrated into Nigeria. Wiki

People may start to say this is just an association, but the fact that they didn't name it "Association of Igbos" which is common in diaspora rings a bell about their intentions.

1. That looks like a lock-up shop, not an office, talk less of an embassy.

2. The sign says Association of biafran indigenes, not embassy.

3. Who is the ambassador? Who appointed him? MASSOB?

4. What President/ruler sent the mission?

Biafra has been defeated, and remains defeated.

Wonder why the word 'Biafra' evokes strong emotions from non-Biafrans.

Last time I checked, sovereignty is not such a bad thing. undecided undecided

Assuming Biafra were to be actualised, many folks will have to collect beds in hospitals.

This idea of biafra is moronic and worst still naive. Do they think this story will have a happy ending, or do they think they can ever create a prosperous country. 5 or ten years from now this phantom biafra will return to were Nigeria is currently right now, cos I don't see how the ijaws and other minority groups from the south south will allow igbos to dominate them. Do they really think the rest of Nigeria will allow them keep their businesses in Lagos and other places like nothing happened? There is a reason we black people don't do anything successfully, we have to be twice as good as the whites to get half of what they will get in the same condition. We are better together, the worst is over, we can either be strong and prosperous together and liberate the black race or we all loose.

What an irony, due to your chronic hatred on Igbos you bear ''yibomustgo'', still whenever your hear the Great Biafra you start shaking like an 1diot suffering from epilepsy.

Very heart breaking picture cry

With such sad pictures, one would think the Ibos would have learnt their lesson. However, it appears not. They want to sacrifice the lives of innocent children all because of their greed and foolishness. Anuofias!!! angry angry angry

Ojukwu's children were hale, hearty and well protected. He left innocent kids and families to suffer and die while he ran away to Ivory Coast. undecided his actions alone are proof that Ibos are never to be trusted. lipsrsealed

If you lot want to break away, why not ask for a referendum and put it vote as it's done in civilised countries. You will be shocked that most of your kith and kin will vote NO and decide to remain as Nigerians. Go and ask the SNP about what happened in scotland last year.

If self succession is illegal United Nations which had 51 nations when it was created in 1945 could not have reached 193 countries today,

Britain could not have allowed Scotland to have independence referendum last year.

Biafra is like a moving train which no one can stop.
