I did it wella. Up until a very reasonable age. Then, life was much more simple, transparent and fun.

Last Christmas, we were having a family get-together and all our extended families came around. I wanted to enter the bathroom to have my bathe when I noticed that someone was there. After further inquiry, I found out it was my cousin's 5 year old daughter. Chai! Thank God, I didn't slap her, but I would have. I pushed her, her soap, water, towel and everything outside. Do you know what she did? She started running around looking for how to cover her unclothedness. Omg! I was ashamed of this present generation. 5year old?!

I started using the bathroom very early myself.

I still have the scar from that iron bucket on my right shoulder,then we used to bathe in multitude,the face me i face you pikin,those days LOL,I used to hug the females among us whenever we have our bathe mostly at night,it's really a experience, couple with the daddy and mummy drama,God,please forgive my teenage years coz hmmmmmmn

somehow,I disagree with you... We were living in a big home,despite the numbers of bathroom, we do take our bath outside when we were children. To me, I feel its becos mom wanted to supervise us as we take our bath while she attends to something(friends,visitors or cooking,washing etc). Also, light was not constant to pump water in other for the the surrounding pipes to flow when on..as kids then, I remember whenever we take our bath in the bathroom,we end up pouring water on the ground subjecting to cleaning after that.. This should bring me to my last point where I would say "nature". One felt free bathing outside at that tender age.it was natural,quicker and fun. After all, others do it so why don't we catch the fun and do the same...my opinion!

Lol... those days we do bath outside in the village with people passing by and you won't even mind(well, what do you know then). But as Simbi became a woman things changed.
Sometimes once you rub soap on your face and try to scoop the water to cleanse off but unfortunately one of my siblings must have carried it, leaving you there to cry before bringing it back. #good old days

I did it. mine was my cousin(brother )may his soul rests in the bossom of God amen. We do bath in dis coal drum n soak ourselves in it. I was 8, 9 and 10 while he was a yr older than me. Wat crazy days feels like. I missed him.
