Boko Haram Joins ISIS by femicyrus(m): 8:53pm On Mar 07, 2015
Nigerian militant group Boko Haram has pledged allegiance to Islamic State (IS), according to an audio statement.
The message, which could not immediately be verified, was posted on Boko Haram's Twitter account and appeared to be by the group's leader.
Boko Haram began a military campaign to impose Islamic rule in northern Nigeria in 2009. The conflict has since spread to neighbouring states.
It would be the latest in a series of groups to swear allegiance to IS.

GEJ: I underestimate Boko haram.
Azazi: PDP is boko haram.
OBJ to GEJ: Tell me truth what do you say is your reason when i tell you to crush the boko boys
PDP: GMB is the sponsored of boko haram. but no proof.
Muslim groups: Boko haram is non Islamic
Nigeria Army: we fail to crush away boko haram in 6 years but now will do that in 6 weeks.
NOTE: Boko haram kill more than 15,000 Nigerians and displayed more than 2,000,000. 3 times more than the population of Bayelsa.
My take on: if boko haram are killing Bayelsans will GEJ still underestimate them?
28march is the day
vote wisely
before Nigeria will turn to boko haram republic.
GMB may not be the best, but far better than GEJ.

This is troubling news and Nigerians need to understand that the BH issue can no longer be treated with kids gloves.

This new relationship with ISIS is strategic because it will encourage and increase the use of foreign fighters, making the fight against BH more difficult.

What Nigeria needs now is a leader that can put political considerations aside and fight this menace head on, utilizing our military resources efficiently to curtail BH.

We need change in this country before things get out of hand.

How?

Bokoharam is relocating to join ISIS in syria?Bokoharam is changing its name to ISIS?
Whats changing as their modus operandi has been same for a long time?

But whatever this means. .. this is the time for the northern elements and elders to sit up and support the fight against terror. Its beyond politics at the moment. They must aggressively help sensitize their youths on the perils of terrorism to their region

Cos when the chips are down and world intensifies the clamp down on ISIS. ...... northern Nigeria will levelled and history.

Does it change anything ? Wetin iSIS dey do BH never do ? Na brothers under Allah

Moreover, they are both being charged and confronted. I think ISIS has more issues to face than to care about those who are equally running from Military men paying allegiance to them. What Isis needs now are those who would come from their various locations to their so called caliphate to keep increasing their numbers in war front and equally those who would brainwash youths through social media. Territories are being regained from Isis, same here with BH. We are winning the war, let's not make them as if they can't be defeated. Our Security men only need to step up their game. Our borders need to be manned

BH's end is near, no allegiance can save them.

Nigeria will overcome BH. I am very sure.

We will not cower to the demand of terrorists. We will be a great Nation.

What we need is strong leadership to make this country great. We need a strong military and not Chadians to sort out our security issues

GEJ has failed us- we need change urgently!

This is a wrong interpretation of the impact of this announcement.

If Nigeria has a weak leader that only takes security issues seriously because of an election, with time, the security risk will get to you sooner than later.

You mean boko haram is relocating or they are adding N to ISIS to creat ISNIS MEANING Islamic State of Nigeria, Iraq and Syria. Do they know the distance from Syria to Nigeria to even think such merger.

Coming days after it was announced that the child of former CJN has joined ISIS and the response from some security quarters that it didn't come as a surprise, it gets one wondering where the missing link is.
