And you still fail to understand that to saner people in enlightened societies, those points i have mentioned, nullifies what ever positives Nigeria has. "oh, the country has an abundance of natural resource, the weather is relatively stable, there is great opportunity for agriculture, but you have no security and armed men can break into your house at night, rape your wife and daughters, steal all you have and possibly kill you. The police will not come until the armed men are gone and probably ask for money for fuel before they do. why don't you come and live here," you'll like it" NO THANKS.
You amaze me. But then you sound like you've experienced a lot of bad times in Nigeria. Now I'm pushed to ask; what is your story?

I counter your question with one of my own. What has made you so immune to corruption, gore, violence, and human degradation, that you don't seem to think it is a big deal anymore. You should be very worried. It is not normal.

Lies we have told ourselves for years and have come to believe them.
Stupid drunk driver lost control of his vehicle and plowed through the market and nearly crippled my aged but agelessly energetic aunt. Got taken to an Orthorpedic hospital with no CT scan or MRI machines. This is the ONLY specialist hospital serving about 20million! Doctors didn't see any need for a brain CT scan even though they had her face sutured with her back head swollen. We had to fight for 2 days in order to get a CT scan approved by her MD.. Cranial CT scan is just N50k, full body scan could have cost up to N200k, btw minimum wage is N18k.. Naija is Devil's experimental lab on earth!

Its not a big deal; according to GIYAZZ. He believes it is normal for things to be that way.

Just ONE stretcher for female ICU to transport patients to Radiology unit. 3-6yr olds laying on floor waiting patiently for their x-ray turns. Private hospital offers CT scan and MRI

Lol. I dare you to do it. It seems to me that all your points are choices you have made for yourself. I will attempt to explain;

1. No one is forcing you to eat burger. There is an over abundance of African stores. I have not been to Nigerian in ages and i eat African food everyday. In fact, i just finished a bowl of eba with stew and okro soup, garnished with goat meat, shaki, and ponmo.
2. No one if forcing you to live in cold cities. Ever heard of Atlanta, Texas, Cali?
3. No one if forcing you to drink from the Taps. Ever heard of bottled water? cheaper than dirt over here.
4. If language is priority then get Rosseta stones cd's. I am leaning spanish right now and it's great. I know for sure they have Nigerian languages.
5. My kids speak perfect yoruba and ishan. And they know a lot about their heritage. Ever heard of ebooks.
6. No one is forcing you to use Technology. In fact please move back to Nigeria and see if you won't miss clear cell signals, constant power supply, high speed internet, calling the police and they'll be at your door in ten minutes etc.
7. Roots. My dear, from what i am detecting you are an akata, (a term we use for black american). Just like a typical black american you are spoilt and have no clue what you are talking about. I say again move back and lets see how long you'll last.
8. I have nothing to say about that. Religion is your choice.
9. Racism. Only black americans scream racism, where in fact they are lazy and self entitled. Sitting at home expecting welfare, having children as young 12 years old so they can collect benefits, wearing pants low to the ankle, acting like gangstas, committing crimes and expecting not to be arrested. I came to the states with nothing, but made a very successful life for myself. All the african immigrants i know have done the same. Only the akata's complain of racism because they are lazy.

You are talking from a place of ignorance. I DARE YOU TO RELOCATE TO NIGERIA.
nice talk, you hit the fact, you have told her the truth

@Glamrock.....i guess ur so ignorant of some of ur facts here. Black Americans extinct in 100 years or less must be the joke of the century. Come to Nigeria, ur body will tell you. They don't tell someone to remove hand from fire. Come to Nigeria and see for yourself.

I can tell you for a fact that nothing "worster" than what I have described happen in the US. people don't just show up in public with rifles in broad daylight without the police showing up in 5 minutes. And the citizenry don't go about cutting people's breast off for stealing, while onlookers clap and jump for joy. Are you ok? There is nothing positive to say about a country that has no value for human life. To make it worse, people like you think it Is normal. MADNESS.

Are you okay ? USA is the crime capital of the world, and they own the largest prison industrial complex. In America, women are raped, murdered and buried. Houses are buggered and occupants set ablazed and it happens again and again ? Even the Government takes arms against the citizens. Its more like a police state. Why do you think that the 2nd amendment was enacted ? Nnah, dont say s.hit about things you do not know, I do not think you have ever visited America. The closest you have known about the good Ol' USA is from google. Take no offense.

Stories, like this make me wonder how people are really faring in that country. What can you expect when the president himself goes overseas for medical treatment.

And as usual you fail to see the point. Where in the world have you heard that there is no crime. The difference is that in the US, people don't feel comfortable burning another human being, or cutting off people's breast in broad daylight while onlookers jump up for joy. This tells you of the deep psychological decay in Nigeria's society. Also armed men don't feel comfortable showing up on the streets or in your house daring the police to come arrest them. The scary part is that Nigerians like you don't see a problem with that. You have been raped psychologically that you are not sensitive to these things anymore. I pity you for not realizing this. And you are right, i am typing this from okomaiko. wink

The home based Nigerians who have never been to the airport or flew in an airplane will think America is a paradise on earth.
I lived in San Diego California for 16 years.
Do you think i'm a fool to coming back to Nigeria finally.
I got my American citizenship within my 5th year.

Davido was born in Atlanta,Georgia Usa.
Emma Nyra lived in America for 19 years.
M.I lived in America for some years
Banky W lived in America for 10 years.
What brought them back to Nigeria ?? Are you wiser than them ??
America is living in it's lost glory.
I would pick any european country over Usa.

Thank you, thank you, Thank you.

The way we shout racism comes across as an excuse from entitled self indulgent spoilt brats.

People here keep shouting Ferguson like as soon as you step into america as a black man you get shot. No you do not. Live a law abiding life, be respectable and respectful and you don't have any problems. I have said whilst there is an issue of heavy handedness sometimes by the police, most of the blacks shot were in the wrong place e.g. teenagers robbing shops around instead of being in school or working. The homeless man in NY... why the hell would you be reaching for a police an's gun??

are you telling me you get into a struggle with a Nigerian police office to the extent you reach for his gun and he would smile at you Common sense tells you to always be respectful when dealing with the police and theta respect will most likely be reciprocated. If you react arrogantly or aggressively to them the react same back.

We keep talking about all the opportunities in Nigeria but it all boils down to the opportunity to make huge amount of money quickly (quick material mentality) but mostly at the expense of others and knowing the right people. The problem is this is not guaranteed and you are also as likely NOT to make it and like a life of frustration. See how people are scrambling for FAAN jobs and you will see the level of desperation in Nigeria. I know people who went for the interviews and the demands made are so ridiculous you winder what the hell people think in that country. Go out of their way to make things difficult for ourselves.

Anyway goodluck to the poster. If he/She is not just creating a post as a prank to see reactions then he/she is just a spoilt entitled brat who doesn't appreciate the life and opportunities available and comes up with silly reasons such as food (black people will be extinct in 100 years), the weather etc.

If you really want to be in touch with your roots in Africa, why not take your ass down to sierra leone or Liberia and when Ebola get your ass lets see if you will stay behind to use the local traditional medical care to be in touch with your roots and culture or if run quickly back to America for proper healthcare.

Goodluck.

If there is constant electricity, good roads, & good jobs in Nigeria.
I swear with my life no Nigeria will ever think of going to America.

I have been to every state in America & i will tell you this, America is a shit country.
They only have massive lands which they stole from the native indians, Mexico, france, russian & England.
They stole New mexico from the spanish, Louisiana from french, Montana, vermont , New hempshire, virginia, maine from England, Alaska from russians, the whole of America from the Native indians
