Of recent, I've been hearing so much of this concept of an open relationship. What does it mean for a relationship to be open? I just met a girl who claimed to be in an open relationship, the koko is she also want an open relationship with me, I couldn't ask her what she meant by an open relationship make she no cum dey think say i be Jew...guys do tell me what I'm getting myself into! |

My understanding of an open relationship, is when someone is in an unstable or on and off relationship. As soon as they find someone better and reliable they are so done with the present relationship. 2 Likes |

ronald4lif: Not so. There are people in stable relationships who participate in this open thingy. It's based on honesty and openess. You tell each other who you are "doing" or "seeing" etc.... Hence, OPEN. It is the relationship of the new age. Probably nothing short of polygamy though, Nothing new here. Xiadnat: True I can't say if it's weird until I give it a shot or understand why those who are engrossed in it are doing so in the first place. My stance to life, especially when it comes to sexuality, human behavioural pattern has been that of whatever makes any one happy no one should judge them, provided they hurt no one. If a couple agrees to have a non-monogamous relationship and they are happy so be it. I must admit all the while I keep hearing open relationship I never knew this is what it's all about. Had thought it's when someone is in an unstable relationship. Learnt a new one today from Xiadnat, will be up for more classes. |
