The coalition of Christian Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Lagos state, led by Archbishop Magnus Adeyemi Atilade, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (South-West), declared today that the Christians in Lagos will give their full support to the All Progressives Congress (APC), to ensure that the state keeps moving forward. They said this today at an event held to formally endorse Akinwunmi Ambode, the APC gubernatorial candidate, as the next Executive Governor of the state.

According to Archbishop Atilade, the endorsement of Ambode is hinged on the Christian body’s belief in a guided and progressive democracy, and also on Ambode’s proven ability to perform as an astute administrator.

“The Christians in Lagos acknowledge that the state has seen steady progress since the inception of this democracy, and as regards the incoming state elections, we together say ‘forward ever, backward never’”

It will be easier for a camel to pass through a needle than for PDP/Agbaje to win Lagos governorship election. Agbaje should go and sit somewhere. He is not gonna smell that seat.

If lagosians want 24hrs power supply before the rest of the country then they need to bury any misgivings and just let continuity be.

The lagos IPP that would have taken care of ALL of lagos' power challenges wasn't allowed to thrive cos of the FG's insistence to punish the state for being in the hands of the opposition, talk about cutting your nose to spite your face..

This is not about tribal bias, taking revenge for a perceived "betrayal/gang-up" or show of power, its just plain common sense.

Early life and education

Akinwunmi was born on June 14, 1963 at the Epe General Hospital, Epe, Lagos, as the sixth of ten children. His late father, Festus Akinwale Ambode was a teacher while his mother, Christianah Oluleye Ambode (nee Oresanya) was an entrepreneur who ran a thriving sewing business in her prime. In 1967, when Akin was still four years old, his father moved to the mainland part of Lagos with the family and continued his teaching career until his death in 1981. Akinwunmi Ambode began his education at St. Jude’s Primary School, Ebutte Meta, Lagos, Nigeria in 1969. In 1974, while still in Primary 5, he sat for the National Common Entrance Examinations and was admitted to Federal Government College, Warri in the same year.
Ambode spent 7 years in Warri, where he completed his Ordinary and Advanced Levels and had the distinction of achieving the second best result in all of West Africa in the Higher School Certificate Examinations in 1981. He was on the school’s Hockey and Cricket teams and was part of the then Bendel State Cricket team while still a student.
Ambode proceeded to University of Lagos where he studied Accounting, graduating at the age of 21 in 1984. He completed his mandatory[National Youth Service Corps year serving with the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sokoto, Sokoto State, where he started his relationship with the Public Service.

Ambode is presentable

Love him or hate him, Ambode is a delight.

He is very intelligent.
- he had the second best HSC result in the whole of West Africa in his time.

Lagos will be proud to have another intelligent governor after Fashola.

I want Lagos to keep moving forward....

Seeing a great opportunity to shed the "Opposition" status, an CD blatantly refusing to take it is tantamount to plain madness....

How we see the chance to align with the Federal Government and turn it down??

How can we see true Change and Progress and turn it down?

Does it make sense

Those who reject this idea have no love for the State....

If you are a true resident of Lagos, and u care about your future, and getting the best there is out there, you"'ll vote APC....

You'll vote Akinwunmi Ambode for Governor

PDP wants to use Lagos and Rivers as consolation prize.

They are going to suck both states dry if allowed to win in those states. TAN needs to recoup its investments by hook or crook grin

No more FG patronage grin

This change is so sweet. Its we the masses that are enjoying it the most. The wicked and the corrupt are already running helter skelter grin

In this history of gubernatorial politics in Lagos State, no one in my humble opinion prepared for the race as Ambode. How many of us will resign from a plum job of chief accounting of the state and go to school in preparation for a higher calling

Hard work
Ambode was the only aspirant that went to all local government and development area in the state to campaign.

He really works very hard for the ticket.

He did not to take his endorsement by Tinubu for granted.

Hard work pays.
