Bless God for you. I do hope that you are typing this from the East. I hope you do not prepare your meals with the onions from the north, neither do you have business partners from the West.

It would be such a shame if you have any dealings whatsoever with the same people you have chosen to alienate yourself from

That is what unbridled and uncontrollable hate brings, an unrestrained mental incapacity to think objectively.

Abeg forget that thing. If you're talking because of the so called senate president appointment, just go n sit down, we don't need it. We've had people there before and what did it change?

Hausas that have been in power since 1801, how are their masses faring? Mtchew
Igbos are myopic politically. That's the only fault with them.

My stomach gets churned up anytime I see topics like this which reeks of tribal sentiments. Must a tribe be isolated for discussion all the time? We sang the song of the South South marginalization for years but a South South man has been there for over 6 years, what miracle did he accomplish in the region? Has the status of the region changed even though he had the power to do it ? He made billionaires of selected few while the majority of his people are still wallowing in abject poverty. Stop flaunting your myopic ehtnic sentiments around, it's all a figment of your imaginations. Those politicians are bonded beyond these mundane affairs you are touting around, the only tribe they know is money !!!! They don't care the heck about the rat hole any hooligan comes from ! Success knows no tribe so stop spreading your mediocrity around and face your own life !

She doesnt realise that all nigerians are screwed and will remain so, except for a new set of Billionaires that would likely emerge from the incoming Buhari's govt.

Her main topic was spot on and well articulated but her responses have been emotional at best - no logic.

I for one do not care much about what happens at the center. If Buhari fixes the economy,all Nigerians will benefit ,irrespective of tribe. I'd rather be concerned if my state governor is not doing well , than if a single man from SS/SE are not offered political positions at the center.

There is nothing wrong in showing disdain to someone from a tribe that played a part in our past that shaped our political future negatively. Yes we refused to vote for him because we felt some certain things have not been addressed and we don't regret our actions but if he(Buhari) refuse to also forget then it will go a long way to justify our fears. Some said that we are going to be politically irrelevant in the next 4 years, well it's not something new after all the Yorubas have suffered the same fate in the last four years and they have not died despite voting massively for Jonathan in 2011, so if we suffer such fate for the choices we made then we have no regrets.I want to categorically state here that the Igbos are not lazy people who depend on the government for survival, we have been surviving in spite of the government after all when was the last time an Igbo man ruled this nation but yet they are still the most successful tribe business wise. The Igbos held key positions in the last 4 years(Deputy senate president, deputy speaker of the house, ministers of finance,petroleum,health,aviation,labour etc) but we no send them because an average Igbo man is busy thinking of the next saleable business idea. So you people should stop sympathizing with us on our political future because we don't really care, you cannot cry more than the bereaved.

ManMountain:

Calm down and outline Biafrans grievances towards Nigeria and Nigerians

^^^OK:
*Nigeria is yet to acknowledge the pogrom and ethnic cleansing that happened during the uncivil war;

*Nigeria is yet to try and convict those responsible for war crimes against Biafrans during said war (and if they find any Biafran war criminals, they free to convict them as well);

*Nigeria is yet to reconstruct the Eastern Region decades after the devastation caused by said war. Gowon talked of the 3Rs and no-victor-no-vanquished after the war to help rebuild the east, but besides Lagos, Kaduna, Kano and a few other places, the east saw fuc'kall by way of any reconstruction or rehabilitation! As we speak, there's talk by all Nigeria (including Igbos) of a Marshall plan for the North East owing to the boko menace....you now see the double standards at play here!

*Nigeria wickedly balkanized Igboland with a view to denying us maximum use of our God-given resource (oyel), and denying us access to the sea! They sowed the seeds of divisions among us in a classic case of 'divide and rule'.....the results of which are apparent even to this day! Today they have succeeded in parting the Ogba, Ikwerre and others from the larger Igbo nation; and as i said earlier, this was done with a view to denying us access to the sea and denying us maximum benefit of our God-given resource! They were so desperate to 'deal with Ndigbo' to the extent that they also divided an entire oyel-rich community into two (Egbema), placed one part in Rivers (under control of the Ijaw) and the other was left in the old Eastern Region!

*Nigeria encouraged and coaxed the Spiff-led Rivers gov't of the day to seize Igbo property in Port Harcourt with the silly excuse that they were 'abandoned'! They're yet to be returned, compensation paid or the injustice of it all acknowledged even to this day!

*Nigeria has always managed to find ingenious ways of denying Ndigbo a shot at the presidency! A case in point being the Buhari coup of 1983 that conveniently occurred when it was apparent Ndigbo (through Ekwueme) would be next in line when Shagari was done at the end of his second tenure! Also, the shenanigans that went on in the PDP that denied Dr Peter Odili a shot at the Presidency in 2007!

*Our business men, industrialists and Igboland in general have never had the same opportunities, advantages, monopolies and access to power as others have (especially the Hausa/Fulani followed by the Yoruba) until the coming of GEJ!

*Alaigbo has always had serious issues with erosion, just like the north have had issues with desertification and water supply for agric' purposes! But you know what.....since the 70s, billions of dollars worth of investments has gone into irrigation schemes and dams in the north, while the problem the South East faced (erosion) was left to fester and has now become an uncontrollable menace! It was only with the coming of GEJ that some decent kind of attention has been paid to this problem in the east!

*Nigeria has wickedly and greedily propped up cities like Lagos, Kaduna and Kano, while they left our own major cities with no form of investment or assistance from the center! There was a time (pre-independence) when the city of Aba was an investment haven and at par with cities like Lagos and Kano, but look at the situation today! If the federal gov't had -since the end of the civil war- given recognition to our two most prominent industrial and commercial cities of Aba and Onitsha the way it has done for Lagos, Kaduna and Kano, we would have had a much better investment climate in the East, and our youths wouldn't have been drifting out to other regions in search of jobs!

*Nigeria has denied the Eastern Region an International Gateway by way of an Airport since the end of the uncivil war! By independence, we had three main ethnic groups (Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa/Fulani); now how comes all bar the Igbos have International Airports in their regions?....Is this fair? International Airports serve as a catalyst for development and attraction of FDIs......so you can now begin to understand why the South East is struggling to attract Multinational Companies, investments and tourists when compared to other regions!

*Onitsha has been denied a River Port since the Shagari era when the federal gov't put up a few dodgy looking cranes and built a naff looking jetty just to make it look like they were doing something!

*A steel company was recommended to be built in Onitsha but the decision was overruled by the Fulani-led federal gov't of the day and taken to Ajaokuta instead! They then decided to build a MTI in Onitsha as compensation!

Intelligent post

Demburrows:
They can rant all they like, this gives a strong position that igbos are not cowards they are known for the integrity of never back stab whom ever it chooses to align with "that is trust'' it commands respect and accolades which will take them to the greater sphere of the political realm in no distant time.
The north came out en mass voted for north cos its north, the south east south south came out en mass voted for south cos its south, that integrity leaves on.
