THE YORUBAS of course. If the Stat u gave is correct and the Tinubu's stat that recorded Igbo to be 43% of the whole population, then Ndigbo shouldn't be ignored in Lagos politics. Igbos are APOLITICAL unlike there neighbours, but the OBA utterance can make them lose that part of them and vote for PDP. Am still positive APC will win. |

drtwist: With your logic, Anambra, Kano and other states belong to all tribes as well. There are Yorubas and other tribes there contributing little or something to its IGR. No man's land is different from contribution to the development of the state, Igbos are large in numbers in Kano as well so why is Kano no man's land? It seems you dont know how annoying that no mans land sound for those of us that are indigenes. In as much as there is state of Origin in our constitution, Lagos is Yorubaland. 2 Likes |

Canme4u: you are very naive. The bini are a distinct group. Dat yoruba originated from one of their own doesnt make them yoruba. |

omoiseselagba: if any of these places u mentioned were originally in d "Eko" settlement then it means d Bini were the original landlords. Only exception is if they were added to Eko to makeup Lagos state. |

If the oil in Niger Delta belongs to Everyone then why should Lagos be for the Yoruba alone? |

Who else ? Lagos only began a part of nigeria in 1900 and oko or eko ( lagos island alone is eko) had been a trading spot where human and trade of goods where going on Nigerias go they form lie thank God we are all not dumb LAgos has always been rich because yoruba has been doing business with europeans. the same europeans went to se and ss and they ran away because the people there were not open and accomodating thus the europeans decided to live with the yorubas in lagos to abeokuta

ElekeNtioba:the word eko is a benin word but they didnt own the land.trully they came but few of them settled in with the awori who already occupy the island and few settlement on the mainland lagos.after some time, the benin left and the remining fizzled out due to intermarriges with the awori yorubas.names like obanikoro, eletu odibo, bajulaiye are of benin origin.lagos before state creation is 100% yoruba land.lagos state is 100% yoruba and egun land.thats all. |
