Adamawa: Governor Dissociates Himself From Curfew by bugs2: 1:19pm On Apr 11, 2015
Governor Bala James Nggilari of Adamawa State has disassociated himself from the curfew imposed on the state by the state commissioner of police.

The governor made the disclosure in a press statement signed and issued on Saturday to journalists in Yola by his Director of Public Affairs ,Mr. Phineas Elisha.

According to the statement, Nggilari informed the general public that he did not impose any curfew on the State as reported by some local and foreign media.

It said that the government was collaborating with the State police command to investigate and ascertain the source of the reports.
The Police in Adamawa state had on Friday declared a dusk to dawn curfew across the state, with effect from Sunday and will last until Tuesday, but the opposition APC threatened to defy the order.
