Your definition of freedom in this context, is what?

A war was fought not too long ago and some ignorant people that can take defeat in
good fate are blowing hot for war in a subtle way.

Unbeknown to certain creatures, peace does not beget peace. I guess you do not know that defeats are meant to be avenged.

See how insecurity is generating uncontrollable frustration on this little lad in other people's business

You lack understanding.

I've seen more than you can ever imagine in your entire life. It's your frustration
and hates for others that's fueling your reasoning along this paths.

Very Important:
1. If you are an Igbo Supremacist, Ijaw Supremacist, Urhobo Supremacist, Efik Supremacist, Ikwerre Supremacist, Ibibio Supremacist or any other tribal supremacist, this thread is NOT for you. Though we will be glad to see everyone drop their supremacist ideology.

2. We don't need to be violent to get what we want. If you are a promoter of violence, please drop the idea and embrace strategic and non violent means. The West(Yorubas) is a typical example of pursuing an interest without firing a single bullet. It is not cowardice to be strategic, it is not bravery to be violent.

3. To people of non-eastern origin, this thread is neither an Eastern supremacist thread nor a racist thread. It is a thread that is aimed at promoting the socio-political and economic interests of the "easterners" within the Nigeria State(similar to Afenifere Renewal Group and Northern Groups).

4. The term "easterners" include our brother in the defunct Mid-western region I.e Present day Edo and Delta States. It does not exclude those with "eastern" origin in diaspora.
why do u av to include pple of d mid west, dey wia neva ppart of ur d eastern region.

My bad... I'm including all SS and SE states. Sorry, I will modify to reflect them.

Deutronomy 19:14; Thou shall not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD THY GOD GIVETH THEE TO POSSESS IT.

meaning you must not encroach into others land be you Hebrew or any nation. Thus says the Lord

This election was God sent, people needed a slap to wake themselves up. With the likes of Wike, OKowa, Udom, OBIANO and Ugwuanyi leading the SS/SE and the trillions of Naira WE ARE STILL GOING TO COLLECT TO THE DISMAY OF MANY APC SUPPORTERS. Our tomorrow is going to BE GREATER than our yesterday.

Otti is coming to join them too. I swear when you put it like this it's clear that the East has chosen some of the best leaders.

Wike, Okowa, Udom, Obiano, Ugwuanyi, Otti, Umahi...even if Okorocha wins, he's still a pretty good leader.

grin. Well. Eastern governors forum will be a wonderful starting point. It will be a forum where projects that will benefit the eastern part will be discussed.

Then issue here is what ever is discussed here dies here. I mean how does this get to the table of the governors elect . Moreover there is huge chances it won't be paid attention to. I'm talking to barcanista.

I think we should be seeing threads that brings Nigeria together and not SS n SE alone. Maybe I don't understand what's happening but I think this divide us more than unifying us, and if it does, then its a shame.
No harm intended tho!

Inter-Regional integration certainly isn't a minus to the larger community. Its a shame some ppl see it as a threat. Aren't the SW governors towing a similar policy?

yes forming eastern governors forum should be a starting point....Anyway you are right to some extent but don't underestimate the power of media..The disposition of Buhari's regime towards SE/SS will determine the whole thing..We are watching..

Edo still have a sizable Igbo( Ika) speaking population, that links them to the Aniomas in Delta, then to Onitsha, and to the rest of the igbo nation. The Igbankes( the Ika-Igbo speaking part of Edo), have a link with the Esans and Binis!

The Ndokwas are Igbo speaking, and have a special relationship with Isokos who are cousins to Urhobos, the same Urhobo that have have years of peaceful co existence and intermarriage with the Itsekiris. The Aros are Igbo speaking, and have a special relationship with the Efiks, the Ndoki are Igbo speaking and have a link with the Ibani- Ijaws, The Onya( another Igbo speaking group) have been co existing with the Ijaws of Bayelsa, the Ehugbo-Izizi,-Ikwo Igbo speaking groups have links with the Ekoi people.

Igbo speaking people unites and connects the whole of SS, it's only natural that SS/SE will eventually unite.

Nice post from Barcanista. Saro Wiwa already saw what you now see, years ago. Perhaps that Saro Wiwa poem is expedient to this thread, I will look for it and post it here.

Yes there may not have been a thread like this cos everyone should be given a fair share of the national cake. See northerners rejoicing that they used almajiri to vote out Jonathan. Imagine the way Jonathan is not even given 8years like others were given. What do the Hausas really bring to the table for them to think oil belongs to them as birthright

So this election has opened our eyes, no doubt. And it's not late to seek change
what stop gej from restructurin Nigeria wen he was in power?

There is Fire on My Roof
And on Your Roof Too,
Is the Same Fire!
My clansmen I cry
Listen to the tone of my voice
Listen to the supplication
Of my lips
And the meaning
Of what I say
Remove
The cotton wools
In your ears,
Remove them quickly
So that the wind
That my lungs produce
Can creep
Freely
Between them

Who,
Who have become
Little children
Who wear in the left foot
The footwear meant
For the right
Who,
Like a woman
Who is accursed
Who cannot sit
Her mounds down
In her husband’s hut
It does not befit you
To behave like women
Who drag a little matter
And talk droopily about it
Does not befit you

Now, Saro wiwa talks about Ndiigbo, Saro in This verse, reminds Ndiigbo that in the Nigerian state, our pains are not different from those of our cousins in the deep south, the NDs.

And you our neighbours
You there: my brothers
With hearts blown up;
Yes, it is you I’m talking to.
Listen now
Listen to the cry
Of your brothers
Answer me now
Answer earnestly
How far is the difference
Between the lion
With the black fur
And the other
With the brown fur
How do you display
The difference
Between a slave,
And a free-born,
How do you draw
What separates them?

Here is Saro Wiwa challenging all he has been taught about Ndiigbo, the negative ones especially, the types that spurs Igbophobia and makes Igbo Niger Delta unity Impossible. The same hatred some of Ndiigbo have now come to bear against the ND. Saro is of the opinion that we must all let go of all prejudices if we must unite and move forward.

To hell
With the sceptre
Of old traditions
And meaningless customs,
To hell
With them
What does the custodian say?
What does he say,
About old beliefs
And nebulous practice?
Did the gods ordinate
These customs?
Where did they gather
To ordinate them?
Whose shrine
Did they go
To pronounce these
Customs?
To hell with him
The custodian
To hell with him
And his empty words

Did they not sleep
In the same womb?
And are they not
Of the same path;
Were they not crafted
Of the skills
Of the same man?

Saro pleads us all to forgive each other of the wrongs done in the past, and move forward, in the spirit of brotherhood.

Again, shall you say
Because the scar
Of the betraying spear
Is still fresh and frail
You shall not give ear
To the cry of your brother
About to be smashed
By his adversaries?
I ask you again
Brother mine,
Shall you say
Because your own brother
Led you into the hands
Of defeats
Your balm of brotherhood
Will forever suffer
Humiliation?
Do you think
Manhood is proved
Merely on this wise?
,
Come now
Let us see!
Come,
Let us see
What is it
That we cannot
Share as brothers?

Saro Wiwa reminds us all of how peaceful our region use to be, how we were all co existing in harmony, even if not a perfect one.

What is it
That we cannot
Put a knife of justice
In between?
,
Have you forgotten
So soon
The mid-night song
We crafted together
Solemnly
Hunting for crabs
In the wild sea!
The song ran:
Brother, brother mine!
There! There!
The moon is still up
The moon has not dropped dead
The moon is still blazing bright and apt
Revealing paths right and dazzling
Revealing cobwebs
Crippling our progress
A little further, a little further
Brother,
We shall pack crabs
We shall gather crabs
We shall shout across to the villagers
For more trays and basins
Not creels
We shall ask for more rafts
To ferry ashore heaps of crabs!
Only a little further, a little further
We shall find crabs!
