barcanista:dont give yourselve high hopes..im frm akwa ibom and the alliance wont work..u're just bittered abt ur fellow ijaw man loosing the presidential eletions, no more no less....why didnt u created this thread in 2011 when GEJ won the election?its obvious u're still grieving abt the loss of GEJ,,,..u created this thread to sooth yourself...majority of the folks here dat agrees with u are the igbos..and their kind of divisive politics is the reason why we ibibios will never go into any form of alliance with the igbos...1967 is still fresh...our grand parents didnt go into alliance with the igbos because dey knew dem better dan we do.. 2 Likes |

You are on point! I particularly dislike people from our region who hold jaundiced views in the bid to be seen as neutral! The people you are backing are not neutral, and if the Oba of Lagos did not clarify that to you @Obiageli, then grow some sense by feeling the pulse of the nation! Barcanista, job well done! barcanista: 3 Likes |

fineguy11: You are now a mind reader, aye? Reading the minds of everyone in the SE and being able to tell exactly what their motives for voting GEJ were..... How is GEJ your own? Last time I checked, he wasn't from your ethnic group. You think the Igbos didn't see him as their own, same way you saw him as your own? You have as much and as little in common with Ijaws as you have with Igbos and as Igbos have with Ijaws. Don't let politically motivated classifications fool you. Your own....funny. 6 Likes |

There are more things to unite us, than what divides us! Some people only look for the divisions and magnify them. As an Okrika man, I am more related to the Igbos than a Bini man who claims South-South with me! So, why is it okay to be only South-South and not Easterner? Prejudice abounds! I'm for a united Eastern Nigerian! barcanista: 7 Likes |

ideykwum:You are very correct on this. What unite us is more than what divide us. In the past, we only focused on what divide us at the expense of what unite us... We have been conditioned to reason this way by some of our elites who because of ignorance or greed allowed themselves to be used as tools of disunity by some people outside the region. 6 Likes |

barcanista: we can call the media "SESS" eg Radio sess, tvsess, www.sess.com, news sess etc .... we should do away with Biafra for now... we can start by creating a website and getting the sess states government to align and support its growth 5 Likes |

somegirl1:The truth about such people is that they are ignorant or hypocritical or both. They saw nothing wrong in ACF. They saw nothing wrong when the ACN(APC) used yoruba sentiment to campaign in Ondo in2012 in the name of "Western Political Integration". I de laugh... 4 Likes |

barcanista: That's why the term "southerners" is much more ideal than "easterners". Geographically, the The SS/SE region is truly Southern Nigeria. Look at the map properly. The real east is Taraba and Adamawa. 2 Likes |

fineguy11: Lol South south indeed. Why don't you stand on your own rather than under the umbrella of a man made classification. GEJ is Ijaw, not ibibio, efik, ekid, annang etc. He has an Igbo name (possibly an Igbo ancestor) and his wife is half Igbo, so Igbos had more reason to see him as theirs than you have, if you choose to go down that route. Why cleave to people who have different views from yours? The Ijaws have always made their stance on wanting their own country clear, so have the Igbos. They both want the same thing just not necessarily with each other. If these groups come to terms with being both the user and the used for a common goal (as have the SW and north) and pull away together and afterwards split, if they can't work together, where does that leave you and your SS classification? You need to understand that no one is proposing a love relationship here but a symbiotic relationship. I'm a realist so I don't expect a solid alliance, at least not yet. The time will come when eastern groups will smell the coffee. The presidential election was just a peek. Eyes have yet to open. 4 Likes |

fineguy11: Anyone interested, go on this nigg@'s page and check out his past post. If anyone can find me ONE post from this nigga addressing Akwa ibom or showed any form of conversation in regards to development in Akwa ibom, or even shown interest of Akwa ibom politics, you know like typical indigenous, I owe that person 2000 naira. Lmfaoooo. This nigga is from EDO state, reside in EDO state and majority of his post since joining NL have all been about either EDO state politics, Edo state development, uniben or some BS. So the Edo people have joined Yoruba in claiming where they are not from. Truly pathetic. Anyway, like I told them it's best to drop Edo people from any form of unity in East. If there are one saboteur group that'll do anything to continue the marginalization and daylight thievery of that region's resources. It is your people as long as the yoruba wants it. Idk y they included edo. I guess they need another years to finally open their eyes on that as well. I have always maintained that Edo state is better situated with SW to be honest. There have not been any fight in SS where Edo aligned along with other community. Even in this last election, who gave Buhari the much need 25% vote in SS..fucking Edo state. I'm still shocked they are still oblivious on this fact. 5 Likes |

OrlandoOwoh: Did I say Mid West was part of Eastern region? If you having a hard time grasping simple English, ask questions before running off your mouth. I said in this day of age, since delta is now part of SS, if a unity between SS and SE occurs and they decided to call it "easterner", I'm in content with that. I rather be in that group and be identify as an easterner than pushed back into western region category. Get it now? As for edo state and the reason why I believe it's best not to include them, I already addressed that and I'm not going to readdress it again. 2 Likes |
