For me, we should have seen this coming a long time back but for the corrupt, inept and direction less prism through which the handlers of our foreign policy saw their brief. We failed to seize the golden moment for Nigeria when Nelson Mandela came into his own! Our management of the end of the apartheid years lacked creativity and proactivity so much so Nelson Mandela shut down and went to his grave appallingly disappointed at what Nigeria had become! I commend his utterances about Nigeria to my readers. All things being equal, Nigeria should have been his second home thus affording him and our leaders an opportunity to weld the two countries together for all time as partners and not bitter competitors we have now become culminating in this so called xenophobia.

My views on this issue may not be celebrated but it does indicate the rot goes deeper! For example, how many know that Thabo Mbeki should be able to find his way around Ojuelegba in Lagos unassisted and better than many Nigerians? Truth is, he and several other South Africans who later came into leadership positions in their country lived in Nigeria educated and fed on our bill because the apartheid regime longed to have them for breakfast!

When payback time came for Nigeria at the end of apartheid and commencement of black majority rule in South Africa and Thabo became President we did not leverage at all to have favours done them reciprocated. Instead our knees went weak and buckled at the altar of greed, corruption, avarice and unpatriotic zeal with our leaders cutting private deals with priviledged South Africans to compromise our wellbeing. The South Africans have so far played along as it suits them fine! What with mtn, shoprite, dstv et al reaping our large market to sustain their own economy.

The result was a large exodus of about 800,000 Nigerians to South Africa in search of a better life not in sight in Nigeria. The exodus has till date been largely unplanned, uncoordinated and without well articulated goals to further our homeland interests. Informed South Africans know all these and more - it therefore cuts no ice with them when we scream xenophobia and ingratitude in the face of current unsavoury happenings under review. We need to look inward instead!

The entire African continent helped in liberating S. AFRICA from apartheid... are we now being rewarded with S-African-xenophobia.
This jungle animalistic brutality against fellow blacks and fellow Africans for that matter, who spared no human and financial resources to help liberate South Africa, has become a tradition. All the resources invested in fighting the white to liberate South Africa was a total waste. It was our worst mistake as a nation. Black South Africans are nothing but beasts that deserved to be caged. They are the most wicked, most intolerable, heartless and animalistic set of human species in existence. It is understandable when ISIS or Moslem extremist kill to expand or in the name of their religion. At least, you see reasonable and well meaning Moslems condemning and fighting them. But, when a race, a people and a nation that prides itself as being civilized decides to kill visitors. Then that race, people and nation are evil.
South Africa is supposed to be the pride of Africa, in terms of brotherhood. But they are a total disgrace to the image and ideology of the black brotherhood.

They don't just murder innocent visitors; they equally find a way and excuse to block any competitive business from other black Africans from establishing in SA. While they, on the other hand, are moving into every aspects of other African nations economy.
To continue to ignore this beastality by other African nations is an act of cowardice. If you don't want foreigners you deport them. Not murder them and loot their investments and celebrate while doing that.
Our government should act now! Is time other Africans come together and isolate these animals in human skin.
Nigeria should lead the way by nationalizing all major South African investments in Nigeria. We cannot continue to fold our hands and watch these 11th Century minded mistaken creatures of the 21st Century murder our people.
Where is ICC? Why is CNN, BBC, Fox News, ABC, UN, AU etc silence on these satanic acts?

What type of wicked conspiracy is going on here?
Jerry Rawlings, Obasanjo, Kufor, Jonathan, and other African leaders should speak up.
Shame on you every South African. You will live with the stigma and shame of these heartless brutalities everywhere you go.
If you have a South African friend, beware. You are toying with a beast, a creature more deadly and dangerous than a snake. Just as their people are doing and has been doing in South Africa, he or she might decide to murder you any day. You don't have to give them reason to do. It runs in their blood.
Like every beast, black South Africans needs to be caged and the key thrown away by decolonizing them. VIPERS!

Already this xenophobia is generating massive waves across africa.
For now, boycott products from SA.The campaign is on already on many social medias, from Zambia,Ghana and Mozambique.

As at yesterday many South Africans in Mozambique have gone into hiding, preparing to leave or not turn up for work.

What is so special about SA. To hell with them. Do they think they can survive without foreigners. If not for Nigeria and other countries apartheid won't have stopped. I guess that their president is incompetent to head the country.

Girlie, u seem to show a lot of south african xenophobic trait in ur posts. South africa for south africans you say? Little do u know that the SA economy have been slowing downcompared to nigeria, ghana, ethiopia and the rest. This is becos factors like power supply, gold reserves, coal reserves(major source of raw material) foreign aid are all on the decline. Investments gains from other regions are helping to balance the scale. South africans only viable source of gas for its power industry is locked up deep below the earthcrust and estimated to lasst for 30 years(to be extracted using the very expensive fracking process), while other countries can boast of hundreds trillions square cubic feet of this gas. In few years to come, the SA govt might not be able to fully power its economy,it would have no choice but to seek for cheaper gas supply from algeria, nigeria and angola. All in all, africa needs africans for growth. These attacks is the last thing SA needs.

You are embarassing yourself and nigeria. what gas? If you dont have a clue about SA, its better you google. 1st of all, our power stations are powered by coal and nuclear. we currently produce 47 000MW while nigeria produces 4 000MW, you see the gap. In 2yrs time we will add another 10 000MW! Because we are building, SA is not a country that waits for foreingers to come and do things for us. How can we be slowing down when we still have the largest budget in africa of $120Billion for 52m people whereas Nigeria has $23Billion for 160m people, do you see the difference.

If the South Africa businesses continue to thrive and bloom in Nigeria; even to the extent of exploiting us but the Nigerian citizen can not live in peace on SA let alone having a successful business
I suggest we do the needful starting with multi_choice and MTN.

The South Africans have forgotten so soon how Nigeria stake its neck just to liberate them from the so-called apartheid.

If I am the present president of Nigeria;

I will send the 11 presidential jets to South Africa to make several trips there until all the Nigerians living in South Africa are been evacuated back to Nigeria.

Then I will direct NCAA,NCC and NBC to withdraw the operating licenses of South Africa's companies like Multi-choice,DSTV and South Africa's airlines making billions of naira monthly here in our great country Nigeria.

Now that's to send a message to South African's that Nigeria as a country will not joke with the lives and economic well-being of her citizens home or abroad who are being made vicitms of fraudulent exploitation, scams and Xenophobia.

This latest madness in SA started after the King of Zulu land told his subjects that they should not wait for the Govt to act b4 they took care of the 'foreigners in their midst who were taken their jobs'. It was the scapegoating of a group of people by the highest traditional authority in Kwa-ZuluNatal that is partly responsible for the latest killings.

So those people who were somewhat rationalizing that irresponsible statement and scapegoating of a group of people by that TOUT of an Oba of Lagos ISLAND would perhaps now get a little understanding of why some of us where completely hostile to those comments and all it represented.

I hear some people are getting ready to take the irresponsible King of Zulu to ICC for Crimes against Humanity. I wish them God's Speed
