APC will surprise the South South and the company that build, repair and destroys this pipelines in the name of sabotage. They're lots of means of generating energy so please don't do something that will make or affect employment and development in your area. |

[s] Mowire:[/s] Don't say what u don't know. Installed capacity is above 8500MW. The hitting of 5500MW was celebrated last week. Will look for d report. The power generation has been hovering between 3000 to 5000 MW. With more gas powered plant Nigeria can hit 20000MW in a year only when gas supply is constant and pipeline vandalism stops. Most vandals don't know which pipeline carries Oil or gas. |

Thums up for the outgoing administration, we just hope that the incoming regime will sustain the momentum, especially in ensuring that the various DISCOs invest in the required distribution infrastructure so that the final consumer can feel the impact of all these megawatts being generated. God bless Nigeria. 2 Likes |

Temmmmy: The problem is discos would rather give light to offices and industries where they are sure of recooping their money fast than residential areas where collection of revenue is hard. All the same, We await d new govt to see d magic they can do. Power issue has rotten to d level that it will take long time to start seeing d improvement being made by goat. |

dridowu: Lagos aint 16 - 20 million people ooo, how u count am... With less than 40k megawatts, d whole nation will have constant power, we will now need extras for industries ... But BTW , lemme tell u something , 1k megawatt plant costs about 4 - 5 billion dollars.......ur national budget is about 22 billion dollars which can only build up 4k megawatts. stop dreaming about 10k - 20k megawatt before 2019... |
