But, how do they identify foreigners ? Please , someONE should answer.

Maybe anyone that is not looking worwor and haggard is a foreigner. You know the foreigners took all their money. They are now in the psychotic stages of OWUphilinosis!

the fact is that this crisis happening in s.a is not all over the country as people think. is just happening in some places.
mostly in Durban. by the Zulus
other parts of s.a is very peaceful. we still have Nigerians living a peaceful and normal life in other cities..
its equivalent to boko haram launching attacks in the northern side of Nigeria. whereas people in the south/west/east are not experiencing the attacks..

peace...

makes me think that 3rd party colonialists, boers, and afrikaners may be influencing the black on black/brown violence behind the scenes. the old divide and conquer strategy.

“We were seven million people in Johannesburg city
in 2011. Today, we have an estimated 13 million. In
Johannesburg alone, you have taken over entire
suburbs: Yeoville, Berea, Bez Valley, Turfontein,
among many. You have even moved into rural parts
of our country that have 80-per-cent unemployment,
and there are no visible signs that you have jobs
either.

“We want to be proudly part of the geographic
construct called Africa, but we are as different from
one another as Kenyans are from Nigerians; Ivorians
from Chadians, etc.

“We are pleading with you to return to your home
countries. Go and build up those countries so that we
can all live in economic, social and political
prosperity and peace as neighbours. The genocide in
this corner of Africa will be far worse than what
happened in Rwanda in 1994. Then the entire
continent will be condemned to ashes. Is that what
you want?

“South Africans not fully employed or who were
found guilty of crimes, were recently repatriated
from Nigeria and rightly so.

“Our people are preparing for war against all
foreigners (from Bulgaria, Pakistan and Bangladesh
to Africa, north of the Limpopo) and we are all very
scared. Please go home and build Africa. Millions will
die if you don’t. This we can guarantee.”

Similarly, Samson Ojako, a master’s degree student
studying Mathematics also at the University of
KwaZulu-Natal noted that looting had been rampant
for over a week.

“Those that opened their shops were attacked by the
Zulu. During all of this, those of us on campus were
warned by the school management to stay indoors.
They said no one should leave the school premises,
especially during the weekend.”

As they say money talks and bull sh.it walks. The only thing Nigerians can do at this point to hit South Africa where it hurts is to hit their govt in the pocket , Nigeria is MTN's biggest subscriber in Africa with over 50 million subscribers - how about boycotting them?
Also DSTV has over 4 million Nigerian subscribers, mass boycotting of both companies means GIGANTIC FINANCIAL LOSSES FOR THEM - what are we waiting for?

These two companies are multinationals and are controlled by the whites who are the root causes of all of these problems in South Africa which is all the more reason why Nigerians should boycott them.

I laugh. And, this is from Cap28? I expected better analysis. Nigerians in South Africa are economic migrants. They are there for blue-collar jobs and petty businesses.

South Africans in Nigeria are mostly expatriates. They create and add value to the economy with astonishing multiplier effect. They are employers of labour. They give jobs to Nigerians; they enrich lives through their businesses and strengthen the value chain. They are into businesses that require huge logistics that your billionaires who only jostle for government contracts dare not try. You need to put things in perspective, bro.

Most Nigerians never experienced modern shopping before Shoprite set up shop in Nigeria.

these south Africans are the most naiive set of creatures in this world. how do they reason? jeez. they destroy statues of white men that gave them tough time during the apartheid but don't hurvt the white people they physically see. silly lots.

Please leave south Africans alone. We must not forget 'Ghana must go' in the eighties. The truth is underemployed, uneducated zulus are overwhelmed and there is a bit of jealousy involved, but most of the backlash has to do with the lower paying jobs being scarce.

maybe SA should consider stricter immigration reform that will only allow students in SA unis, or professional degree holders. The rest can return to Their country of origin especially my fellow Nigerians.
The outside world keeps relieving Nigeria of its pressure.
its time to deal with our problems instead of crying about what foreigners are doing. The truth is the average Nigerian gets more justice in SA than they do at home.
When Nigerians are ready to go all out like they abroad, that's when things will turn around.

Can we See the people complaining are Yorubas?
Tomorrow if a Nigerian in South Africa is killed, one wicked Yoruba man in his mud house in Ibadan will conclude that the person is Igbo.
Yes...did you check out their profiles too. Masters and doctorate graduates from University of Kwazulu-Natal. Compare this to your average hustler from your region doing drugs on the street of j'burg.

Also, three of my colleagues from the SW I know living in SA are professionals, they were transfered to SA from their Nigerian offices. One is a manager in PwC, another a director in SCB and the last a lecturer from Nigeria studying for his PhD.

We don't hustle on the street like the Nigerians sharpening machetes with stones seen on the news or the car dealer that got his workshop burnt.

So what group of migrants would likely be targeted by Zulu thugs

But Edward zuma - Zuma's son, has also asked foreigners to PAG.

Astonishing multiplier effect indeed - Don't you mean slave labour jobs where employees can be hired and fired at will - is that your own idea of adding value to an economy. Multinationals do not create wealth in Africa they SAP wealth as their only reason for being there is to enrich themselves, why is this so difficult for you so called educated Africans to understand?

Why don't you go and work for Shoprite, MTN or DSTV and lets see how rich you will become. How can a white south African multinational create wealth in a black African country that it has no ethnic nor cultural allegiance to, I thought you people were supposed to be the most educated Africans on the continent, why don't Nigerians set up their own Shoprite, MTN and DSTV so that the money realised can be ploughed back into the Nigerian economy and not remitted back to enrich the racist enclave of South Africa?

Perhaps if we had a Nigerian MTN or DSTV there would be no need for Nigerians to go all the way to South Africa to do blue collar jobs and petty trade.

Dont be naive! if these companies leave nigeria today, thousands will surface within Nigeria.
The only reason why these companies are striving in Nigeria is due to corruption on the part of our government.
And for EPL viewing, dont forget that HiTV used to show it until our government help DSTV ruin them. we can get the license any day, any time.

The white man has really done a job on the minds of NIgerians - he's got you thinking you are a giant when you're totally reliant on him to eat and stay in touch with the outside world , all you have are worthless pieces of paper that you call certificates but you cant even feed yourselves and control what is shown over the tv to millions of your own citizens , how then can you stand up in the comity of nations and hold your head high with dignity and refer to yourselves as a nation when your mortal enemies can decide what you eat and how you think, remember he who controls the media controls your mind.

And, before these SA peeps came in, what were your people doing and how much were they earning? So, these companies only give Nigerians low-paying jobs? Last I checked, (their pay) it's much better than the minimum wage from your govt.
