Senate President, David Mark, on Wednesday, raised the alarm that the Peoples Democratic Party may be heading for a final destruction if the infighting among its leaders was not immediately resolved.

Mark, who stated this while receiving the Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s PDP Post – election assessment committee, in his office said the continued acrimony between factions in the party, was dangerous.

He said, “The PDP is already hemorrhaging, unless we halt the bleeding and finds the necessary therapy, we may be heading for the final burial of the party.

“The party is already in a comatose status and we should do all we can to resuscitate the party rather than this unnecessary rancour and bulk passing.

“The emerging factions are absolutely unnecessary. The combatants must sheathe their swords and embrace dialogue.

“My appeal is that we should not do anything further that would damage the already fragmented house.

“Everybody should come together and rebuild the party. We have gotten enough bruises. We need not inflict further pains on ourselves, with continuous bickering. Enough of this blame-game.”

Mark urged members of the party to return to the drawing board instead of washing their dirty linen in the public.

He said, “I believe a useful lesson has been learnt from the PDP electoral misfortune. As for me, it is time to put on our thinking caps and chart a new course.”

He expressed confidence that Ekweremadu and his team will do a good job and address the remote and immediate causes of our misfortune and make recommendations that will enhance the future of the party.

“I have worked closely with the Deputy President of the Senate over the years and I know his capability and capacity to handle issues,” he added.

Mark called on all stakeholders to rise above the present circumstances and work hard to rejuvenate the party.

He said the new status of the party as an opposition is a challenge which must be faced with all honesty, sincerity of purpose and dedication to duty.

He said democracy and the nation would be much better if the party plays credible opposition to ensure good governance and deliver dividends of democracy to Nigerians.

The party will definately implode( it is so clear like a DIAMOND).
I can see a self aggrandizement from the PDP governors that they will not FUND the party unless MUAZU step down. And, if he is forcefully remove he will held to the court to challenge his removal and this will further divide the harmony within the party.
2. If the NWC are left to complete their term, the implosion will occur during the process to elect new NWC
3. GEJ can not lead the present PDP member coz the respect they have for him will explode on May 29/2015 and PDP will be a house without a leader/ pathfinder coz everybody will fight to have a say for political relevance.
Therefore, this is the time APGA need to step up it game to be a formidable opposition and never play the I support your candidate that cause AD to loose her foot and relevant in the SOUTH WEST in 2003 after endorsing the PDP presidential candidate.

The fighting hasn't commenced yet, what we are witnessing now is just a mere preamble.

There are still some yams left in the barn (National treasury) to calm frayed nerves, when all access to the barn is completely shut to the PDP goats, the goats will develop claws and tear one other to shreds.

PDP can only come back if APC disappoints Nigerian on their election promises,
by saying that stealing is corruption,
Looting the national treasury to the extent that the African best economy is sourcing for loan to foot its workers salary. Etc.
PDP is practicaly recuperating on a life support machine. .

The stark reality as recognised by Mark is that PDP as a party may not survive to witness the 2019 elections.
I forsee some genuine party men leaving the party for the likes of Fayose,Wike,Obanikoro,FFK( if he escapes kirikiri)bode George and d olisa metuh's and Akpabios to complete the last funeral rites of PDP.
These other party members would eventually form a new party or take over any of the growing parties presently on ground.
But PDP surviving? Not likely with d way they are ripping at each other and it would be good riddance to a stinking rubbish.Any party that has so debased Nigeria in all sectors of life and that produces a man as GEJ as president, does not deserve to see another election.

Since 2003. Self destruction started unfolding since Obasanjo's Re-election, where he placed himself above the Party manifesto and the National Party chairman and make himself the party leader.

PDP is as good as dead and all reasonable Nigerians know this as a fact. The crisis that the party is presently experiencing will be a child's play to what will happen when PDP finally exit Aso rock on May 29. The party lacks a charismatic and uniting figure that can rally round party members nationwide. The remaining governors will want to control the party, Jonathan and his remaining loyalist will also want to exercise control, the Mu'azu lead NWC won't go without a fight, Fayose will be doing his thing in Ekiti without regards to the national leadership. At the end of the day, the centre will no longer be able to hold and everything will simply fall apart for the party.

David Mark is borrowing words from 50 Cent, who knows he might be a rapper in his bedroom too. (Self Destruct). Soon he will borrow words from 2 Pac like; PDP is heading for death row.

And we shall do its sent forth service on the 29th May to its resting place

KOWA should strike to appear feminine in outlook. It should be female sensitive and try educating women on the need to get governance serious. That way it carves a niche for itself.

The sensible elders in PDP know they're heading for a crash but the juveniles online who can't see beyond their noses keep spewing rubbish.

PDP will disintegrate faster than anybody can imagine if they don't get their collective senses back.

But how will they get their mojo back without access to the treasury?

By the grace of the One who created everyone, this PDP House must collapse and turn to rubble. The rubbles and ashes would be sprinkled into the Atlantic Ocean. New parties with men of common interests would then emerge from the ashes of this party of perdition................

Because we truly need a virile opposition to checkmate APC from going in exactly the same direction like PDP: taking the people for granted, engaging in unbridled corruption, acting with impunity, losing direction, etc. Its another new party and not PDP

Mark fall my hand as a party leader you don't admit such in public, even when things are going wrong you work under ground to resolve things...statement like this doesn't encourage the party followers like Temitemi......even the know almighty APC have internal crisis to deal with but BUT they ACT LIKE ALL IS WELL

With time, PDP will get over what they've put themselves into.

In other news...

You have gifted hands, you know you can think, or maybe you have friends that when provided with the right tools and suitable environment can come up with an invention that will change the course of life... Then this might be an opportunity to show the world what stuff you're made of...... Like our page Make In Nigeria on Facebook or follow us on twitter @MakeInNigeria, who knows? This might be the opportunity you've been waiting for to become Nigeria's First inventor.... #MakeInNigeria

Will the PDP be able to survive as an opposition party? These squabbles shows that PDP was running on ego and zero guiding principles.

Africa's largest party my foot.
