Life is not all about investment. What is the point of investing all your money and die few years after. The funny thing is that it's only the people/family members who didn't go through all your day to day struggle with you that would happily reap all your hard labour.
I used to have the same belief until I was lucky to pay a visit to a private hospital where I saw few stinkingly wealthy Nigerians begging for life on their hospital beds in place of their money.
Few weeks later, I came to Europe where I equally saw wealthy Europeans with a sickness called Pakinson. I was lucky to talk with them and one thing that was constant in all their stories was the fact that they regretted not doing some certain things when God gave them time and energy to do those things.
Finally, every passing second counts, use it and enjoy to the fullest. If you have #2000 as an example, invest #1000, #200 to upgrade your education, spoil yourself with #500 on shirts and other men accessories and the remaining #300 on good food. So if you die tomorrow, you won't have any reason to regret.
