I just got back from Houston, Texas. My wife just had a baby there............i was able to visit some schools during my visit and so i am thinking of applying for an F-1 (Student)Visa. I heard some things which i will like to confirm from you all. 1. That my B1/B2 visa doesn't guarantee me an F-1 visa. 2. That my B1/B2 visa will be canceled even if i get denied of F-1 visa. Lastly, will u suggest i just go back to US with my B1/B2 visa and change my status to F-1(Student) visa......... I know its very legal based on the info i got from USCIS( United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) website http://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/students-and-exchange-visitors/students-and-employment/special-instructions-b-1b-2-visitors-who-want-enroll-school . Thank You |

john4affiliate:Apart from the US, you can pay from anywhere, even in New Zealand. He should fill the form online and send to you. You cannot pay SEVIS in Nigeria. |

PussySandie:How ar u? Longest time. It not adviceable you use d account if the amount der is not up to $37,000 which is on in ur I-20 |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by Nobody: 2:25pm On May 22, 2015 |
PussySandie:Join the two bank statements together. In as much as your source of funds on your I-20 is family funds, then father and mother are cool to the your sponsors. So take both statements of account to the embassy. Period! |

kennyrony:Sorry man. Was busy so couldn't really read that. She could use her dad's statement of account, i mean the one she printed out, used for I-20, if it's not more than three months. @Sandy, do you still have your dad's extra copy of his bank statement? |

DeeTus: And when the vo asks her to present her statement she presents two right? Loool. Issokay. Vos dont like excessive explanation. It just shows something is fishy. She should find a way to produce her dad's statement. It's that simple. |

Emblem: One stone to kill two birds. What happened to this Indian guy might likely happen IF you enrolled before switching from B1 to F1. Change your status before coming to U.S. In the past, people get rejected when switching while in U.S. They were directed back to consulate outside U.S, just like when extending F1 visa. kiran18: Excerpt from USCIS website says: How can I obtain F-1 or M-1 status? Pay good attention to the lines in bold. |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by kennyrony(m): 3:21pm On May 22, 2015 |
DeeTus:Which ever way u wish 2 be addressed. 3month is still far. If u go wit a statement of account printed 3month ago how do VO know if the money is still der. Try not to mislead her. D VO won't only look at d amount, d date printed is also important |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by Nobody: 3:23pm On May 22, 2015 |
PussySandie:Jan is a little late. Remember, i said 3 months. But at worst, if you're sure your dad's bank statement acount has enough money if printed when he comes back, then you can explain to the VO, instead of going to the interview with insufficient SOA. |

There is no point stressing the Bank Statement issue, sandy already stated the funds is not enough. Why is it that during interview peoples sponsor are always not around? I'm tired of hearing this particular excuse for having a 5 months old statement? Do I need my dads presence to get his statement? No in most cases, what he does is, he calls his account officer and you get to have his statement. So that usual story of my dad or my sponsor traveled is a stale news. If your education or travelling is important to your dad, within 48 hours you should get his statement. 2 Likes |
