Beautiful. Excellent. Praiseworthy.

Every sane Nigerian, irrespective of party affiliation, tribe and creed, agrees corruption and the shameful manner in which culprits are prosecuted, presents a formidable force against our progress as a nation.

I remain nonpartisan and truly committed to any effort that will reduce official corruption to the barest minimum. The impacts of corruption are obvious, negative and known to all.

We have in the past called for these special courts for corruption cases. It's heartwarming to hear the lazy NA members are supporting this.

MY FEAR: Amidst the joy that followed this development is a palpable fear. If the war against corruption isn't targeted at the PDP, but rightly spreads it's dragnet to all and sundry, my fear shall vapourise. But if it's aimed at witch hunting members of the PDP, and especially people from the SS, then it shall be another futile expedition, worthy of condemnation. We are watching!

God bless Nigeria!
why are u so sentimental, what if is only south south or pdp that is corrupt, wil u stop d probe because other party and region is not involve?

This plan is commendable. I just hope that the fight against corruption and drive to recover stolen funds span across all six geopolitical zones so that it would not be seen as witch hunting. smiley

It is a shame that people do not understand or take time to research on things before they open their mouth to speak or express their mind.

Special courts or tribunals as they often called are required to ensure that cases do not get stuck in regular courts. They accelerate trials and pave way for appellate courts to continue with the case. We honestly need a special court for money laundering, tax evasion, corruption and even terrorism. This is a strong deterrent against prospective offenders.

By this announcement alone, I know a lot of fraudulent companies will be consulting with their legal team on the way forward. We are losing lots of money from tax evasion and laundering. I will also suggest that the house of assembly enact a stuff law against bribery, tax evasion, corruption and money laundering

All these extravagant and mellifluous promises made by politicians will never come to fruition. It's the same story very year. Yet, credulous Nigerians keep eating it.

As the saying goes, fool me once, shame on you but fool me twice, shame on me.

Mogidi:
Today special courts, tomorrow sharia court.
If the courts follow the universally acceptable tenets of jurisprudence there won't be problems, there will however be problems if Buhari sought to impose Islamic principles of jurisprudence (Sharia) on the south.
Next week it would be "specialised" new courts, Bukohari bringing in sharia small small.
Watching in 3D.
You talk like a f00l.

Buhari nor go ever get sense. What is the point talking too much? To me, this president elect is just an empty drum who prefers to talk more and actually plan to do nothing. Well, the Buhari government to me will not be regarded as a disappointment since most of us know serious government and the one who will do nothing.

You need to be more professional in criticism.

Sen. Aloysius Etok made it known and not GMB.

GMB did not actually come out to say most of the things accredited to him; his loyalists and others hoping to get smthg frm his govt did.

I commend your spirit of patriotism and truthfulness, never allowing ethnic bigotism blind your sense of reasoning. I join you to pray we see an all encompassing fight against corruption but let's not be quick to judge when it starts. After all the court will not be peopled by northerners alone and we expect non-partisan people to man it. I don't care about party and region, am only interested in seeing Nigerians happy and great again. Every thief must go to jail be him from Otuoke or Daura.

Is Buhari quoted as saying it or Etok? When you read, read with understanding. The greatest mistake that can happen to a student is to "misunderstand" a question.
