While most of us are looking for affordable options for our needs, there are some who splurge on food and cocktails worth thousands of dollars, or vehicles worth millions. In fact, recently a painting by Pablo Picasso was sold for $179.3 million and a sculpture by Alberto Giacomett was sold for over $141 million. Here's a look at some of the most expensive things available in the world.

22. Indian industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence Antilia in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, is the most expensive home in the world with a construction cost of $1 billion. The twenty-seven story house has an area of 37,161 square meter and is managed by a staff of 600 people.

21. Almas, a caviar from the Iranian Beluga fish, costs $34,500 (£20,000) per kg. Also called “black gold,” the caviar is produced from the eggs of a rare albino sturgeon between 60-100 years old.

20. The most expensive bathroom was built by jeweller Lam Sai-wing in Hong Kong in January 2001. Made out of gold, sapphire, ruby and amber, the bathroom cost Sai-wing $3.5 million (HK$27 million).

17. Joni Rimm of USA paid $50,000 for a kiss with Hollywood actress Sharon Stone. The kiss was auctioned in Los Angeles, USA, in August 2003.
