The Political Fallacy And Hypocrisy Of Those Surrounding Buhari by Orikinla(m): 8:55am On May 17, 2015
The victory of President-elect Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd) may not be the Nigerian Dream, because Buhari is like a good shepherd, but surrounded by many wolves in sheep clothing.
The same kind of dangerous characters who surrounded President Goodluck Jonathan and did more harm than good to his administration. These wolves in sheep clothing are more among the Yorubas in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and some Hausas.
The Igbos in the APC may end up as the best allies of Buhari who has always believed in giving the Igbos the opportunity to produce another President of Nigeria since the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, who was the first President and Head of State of Nigeria.

The wolves don't want an Igbo leader to succeed Buhari.
In fact, they want another Hausa leader and then followed a Yoruba leader.
Their best plan for the Igbos is to have an Igbo Vice President in 2019 and use him to secure the support of the south east and south south regions. But they will not let him succeed their Hausa President in 2023. These wolves in sheep clothing don't like Governor Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, because of his presidential ambition. They also want to keep Igbo leaders out of the inner caucus of Buhari.
There is a dog eat dog power struggle already going on in the leadership of the APC from Lagos to Abuja as they jostle for all the political appointments to be made for Buhari's administration. Even the media aides and errand boys of Buhari are not left out of the plots.

The worst enemies of Buhari are not in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but they are in the APC.
There is a political conspiracy in the APC against the presidential ambition of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.
The plot is being masterminded by three leaders in the APC.
One former governor from the Middle Belt, a current northern governor and a northern presidential aspirant who wants to succeed Buhari in 2019.

Politics attracts the strangest bed fellows.
More will be revealed in the new books "The Victory of Muhammadu Buhaari and the Nigerian Dream" and "Ghosts of the Niger Delta" by two Nigerian authors based in Nigeria and South Africa who are insiders in the APC and PDP.

We're watching. It's too soon to infere anything. Besides, a lot of happenings in the days ahead will shape what to expect in 2019 and 2023. Therefore we cannot get too far ahead of ourselves.

OP, were you expecting an appointment?

Let us know so we can properly place your support for the General between genuine patriotism and personal interest.

Buhari has not been sworn in, you guys are already talking about 2019! Where lies the task of governance? If an hausa man can rule for 50 years and delivers the elementary service of governance like electricity, health-care, social amenities etc, I don't think Nigerians would bother!

After all, What did Obasanjo years of presidency bring to the South West! What of the outgoing Drunkard from 0tuoke? What did do for his people?

Abeg enough of these conjectures and imaginative conspiracies!

The guy's fear is misplaced! He is already talking of 2019, when 2015 has not taken off!

Baseless assumptions and assertions. Making the whole thing look like an ethnic propaganda.

Buhari is yet to assume office and yet you come up with all these trash, insinuating what nots.

In essence, what should we gain from all that you have said? How does this move us forward?

Rather than coming up with posts with no facts, proofs or legal backings, do us a favour and post something worthy of giving hope.

First fallacy:that d same breed of characters that surrounded GEJ and caused his failure are also surrounding GMB.
-Response:No sir,GEJ may have been surrounded by d shadiest of characters, but he failed principally because he lacked d capability to succeed.GEJ lacked d knowledge, and refused to upgrade that deficit knowledge of his;capacity, moral and leadership abilities to succeed.
He failed not because of people around him,but his widespread leadership deficits.GMB has a lot of those capacities and more.
-Fallacy 2:Okorocha is d presumptive Ibo candidate likely to succeed GMB if d Igbos were to b given d slot.
Response: Its damn too early in d day to start putting forward someone like okorocha.Yes,okorocha may have d charisma and foresight that are requisites for such role, and indeed I admire him greatly, because he saw that d right path for d Igbos to allign is with d APC. But 4,moreso 8 yrs is a damn long time in politics and a lot can b unravelled during d yrs.Ideally,an Igbo should succeed GMB, likely in 2023,but this primordial attachment to tribe for critical national roles has stunted our development. The tendency of Nigerians to put ethnicity above competence and adherence to the law of law is what has taken us down this stunted path, its what gave us d likes of GEJ, who if he had gotten away to using those same sentiments to retain power, would have completely and irreversibly destroyed us as a nation. We may not b that lucky and that God blessed again to reverse similar mistake if we make it again.
All in all this is a very poor and demoralizing write up from anybody who one expects to see d opportunities that a GMB presidency offers Nigeria to do things differently and set new global standards on how to run a nation based on universally acknowledged and tested principles.
We should focus on helping GMB to succeed by praying for him and offering constructive advice, not on who becomes what or what tribe should succeed him when he hasnt even assumed office!!

If he indeed penned this writeup, and there is no reason to believe otherwise since no other source was quoted, then its a moral blow to the belief I have had that people like him support GMB genuinely and not for any appointee gain.
Time shall tell however, but if true, then gradually some of d people who had motives for support and hatred for GMB are gradually being sieved.

I am pro-GMB for life.
You may even mistake me for him when he was younger.
I have been so since 1984 and played a significant role of his mass literacy family planning campaign nationwide when he was military head of state.
This is to warn him of the wolves in sheep clothing.

Your write up is about which tribe will the next president come from.
That's a mentality that should be discarded in this century.
