Nairalanders, i need to know if i did wrong here. There was this chic - i have knew her for quite awhile, we lost contact, and renewed contact again.

I called her around December 25 planning to ask her out, but decided to go about it responsibly by first chatting her up on other issues, asking when next she will be free so i will pay her a visit,

And to my surprise got a text from her next day that she needs 10,000 naira with no reasonable explanation. And i just changed my mind totally - that haba - wetin dis girl don turn me to? Or is it because she heard from someone that i am a web developer (but i later found out that she doesnt even know that at this time - so she just did trial-and-error)?

Anyway, that was that, but i really like the girl sha, she is pwetty and all that (my perfect taste) - and i was really lookin forward to a serious relationship and she happens to be a very good match - but na 10k spoil the whole runs.

It was not that i cannot give her the money - but if a girl you only show slight interest in start asking for 10K (with no explanation) - what happens after you are now hooked up?

Anyway, i made this post for the guys to tell me what i should have done in that kind of situation, and for the ladies - well, i dont know what to say to you

Dude I totally understand where you coming from. With some igbo girls you just need to know how to play the game or trust me you'll be begging for money before you even know it. I'm sure there will be posters to come behind me that will inform you more about the game.

It is obvious that if you try to continue with this girl you would be making a big mistake. Then again, why not just tell her "NO" let her know that you are surprised that she was that bold to just ask you for money without even getting to know you since the last time you saw her. Let her also know that you were interested in her but you no longer are because of her attempts at your pocket (though we all know you like her) then either walk away or hang up the phone.

After that, close that chapter in your life and keep it moving.
