The default referee is the H.O.D. However, the mail states that a referee should it. This means that a signature from an H.O.D or any other referee will both be accepted.

I just called them. They said that the application can have a separate referee. But that the profile form MUST be signed by the HOD, regardless of whoever was filled as the referee whilst filling the application.

They said Tuesday June 9th.
But after pleading my case, I was given an extension till Friday June 12th.
