All these reasons are just cover up stories. The North has never had and may never have any regard for women. So they dont want to give them any power or relevance.

The South are more female friendly and are not likely to toe this line of female covert attack.After all, there are many other offices under the presidency that are not constitutional but still exist but nobody talks about it.

If a world power like the USA has a first lady position, then why wouldnt we? Is our constitution superior to theirs? Many people in positions of authority misuse their power but receive a slap on the wrist, then one or two first ladies misuse their position and they want to scrap the whole post simply because it involves women and those in power are men.

Like every arm of government, if leakage and wastage are eradicated in offices like the one under scrutiny it can help illuminate the plight of women and children in Nigeria not just locally but internationally as meetings of First ladies in Africa and worldwide in partnership with the UN help raise funds and plan strategies designed specifically for women.

True there are governors and we even have a women's Minster overseeing a ministry dedicated for women. I tell you it is not enough.
