For those with more than one wife, it makes sense that they jettison the office of the first lady to avoid family problem rather than for national interest. My applaise can only go to those who have one wife and decided to cancel the first lady office. However, often times the wives of the political office holder who have personal careers are less likely going to be interest in such offices. They have enough to occupy themselves with.

the reasons given seem to tilt towards the notherners' religious inclination- the thing is, nigeria needs to cut cost of governance- and this for sure is one potfolio that can be scrapped to save us money for more serious issues.

Islam has always been unfair to women. They preach that we are all equal in the sight of God, yet their actions and body language act and believe the opposite.

Here in Northern Nigeria where I live, women are only meant to be seen, not heard. There are second-class citizens; mere domestic animals with child-bearing, cooking and home-keeping capabilities. Girl children are usually sent to low-quality "Public Schools" where they are taught in Hausa, while the male children are sent to good school (mostly private)

The world cares about America. If you want to know your progress in life, you must keep your sight on those greater and better than you.
