than APC impeaching Ekweremadu!!!

The recent coalition between APC Senators loyal to Saraki and PDP senators seemed to have been one of the most Fascinating events in the Upper chamber of the National Assembly as it succeeded in Producing Saraki(APC) as the senate president and Ekweremadu(PDP) as the deputy senate president. This result however has caused serious in-house controversy in the APC as both candidates were not their annointed candidates.

Three Permutation has been made in this analysis, and all three seem not to favour the removal of both candidates, especially Ekweremadu.

1. If the union between the Pro-Saraki group and the PDP senators continues, the status quo remains and there is absolutely nothing the anti-Saraki APC senators can do about impeaching the duo.

2. If Saraki and his Supporters decide to betray the PDP senators and form a stronger alliance with other senators in his party to impeach Ekweremadu, it may be an effort in futility as the law clearly states that at least two-third(2/3) of the house can impeach him. As it stands, PDP has 49 senators, while APC has 59. two-third of the house amounts to about 72 senators. APC does not have this number.

3. The 3rd permutation may seem to favour Ekweremadu but may spell doom for Saraki. APC as a way to punish Saraki may connive with the 49 PDP senators to impeach Saraki. Again, this does not only make Ekweremadu untouchable but will elevate him instantly to the position of the Senate president. and with APC still not having the required number, they may never be able to impeach Ekweremadu until he completes his tenure.

These are just 3 permutations, add yours.

It just is so damn annoying.

If they can elect the principal officers and inaugurate the NASS in the absence of 40+ members and the decision is biding, suspending a fraction of that number won't burn down the NASS and the decision will still be legal and biding.
