Bonapart:. Even cockroach hiding in one's Ghana must go will not mistake crawl into SA these days. I shelved plans to visit that place long ago. Turkey, Dubai, even Morocco are far more welcoming places to spend my hard currency. This kind of matter will show whether Buhari is different from our previous leaders. How he will handle it. Our Africa First foreign police got to stop. Reality is most African countries don't want us to be more powerful. Whether economically or UN Security council permanent membership. We actually stand alone. We should stop fooling ourselves with all those "amoeba African Union summits" that have no head, no tail. And agrressively pursue co-operations with India, Russia, China, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, etc And solve our light wahala using nuclear reactors. |

eliwa47: If true, Nigeria should for once show seriousness and evacuate citizens ready to leave/return. And ask all Nigerians entering SA on 9ja Kpale to first collect exit visa from 9ja immigration or embassies/HCs. That way, one can scrutinise their reasons for going. Nigerians need protection from Xenophobia. 1 Like |

its surprising that this news is a breaking news in Nigeria, 8000 miles away, but in SA, there isno a single media that is reporting about it. I wont be surprised if its a hoax news. You can google about it, only nigerian media reporting about it, no single SA media is reporting. The area is remote, yes, but it could have been reported locally already. But there is nothing. Someone is trying to create a story out of nothing, it seems xenophobia is a hot topic in nigeria these days, newspapers fly off the shelves immediately they hear Xenophobia in SA. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

AreaFada2: The question i have is, what are nigerians doing in that small town, nothing happens there. The town is along the Namibian border. As they say, nigerians will go any where just for survival. No economic activities what so ever. Nigerians are not the only foreigners in SA, actually there is more zimbabweans, somalis, ethiopians, congoleses compare to nigerians, so there wont be special treatment of anyone. |

14: Well, Nigerians will go where perhaps others see no opportunities, but Nigerians do. Every man carries his own cross, ours is to protect Nigerians. Can't 9ja offer like £5,000 compensation to returning Nigerians and thereafter levy special tax on eMpTyheN, Shopwrong & other such companies to recoup the money? |

This is the barbaric Africa Nigeria wants to form United Africa with. Nigeria needs to look inwards, develop Nigeria, make becoming the most powerful nation in Africa economically and militarily our foreign policy instead of cavorting with your Nigers and Cameroons which are still colonial footstools of France who want to control us indirectly through our close collaboration with their colonies. South Africa has an uncertain future ahead of it at this stage as the Sudan fiasco illustrated. Foreign policy and political goals and direction all over the place, tacky, brutal and unsophisticated. It's a pity but there it is ... 2 Likes |

...since diplomacy has failed to resolve this over time, I think the solution to the problem is simple: 1. Recall all Nigerian nationals in South Africa and send back their envoys. 2. Boycott all south African interests and start the process of nationalizing all south African owned business. If we initiate the above two, other nations will follow (call it a gang up if you will) and the impact of the alienation will jolt the government into action. In my own opinion, the south African government is not doing enough to protect foreigners. How many Nigerians can afford three square meals a day? But you don't see us killing the Lebanese and Indians who casualize and enslave their workers! 2 Likes |
