Although some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC have initiated moves to reconcile the aggrieved camps and bring back peace in the party, its national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is not yielding to it until his conditions are met.

Vanguard exclusively gathered yesterday that Tinubu who felt greatly slighted by the elections of Senator Bukola Saraki and Rep. Yakubu Dogara as the senate president and the Speaker, House of Representatives respectively against the party’s official candidates, Senator Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabimila had said of what can assuage his anger and that of the party.

A competent party source told Vanguard in Abuja that principal among the conditions is that both Saraki and Dogara must tender and publish a full page apology publicly using the national dailies.

To this end, the source hinted that an extended meeting of the national leaders of the party with APC governors involved had been slated for next week.

The meeting, it was learnt, would hold either Monday or Tuesday.

“You don’t joke with the man (Tinubu). He said they must make a public apology to him using the newspapers. A meeting that will involve all APC governors has been scheduled to hold either on Monday or Tuesday. Wait and see what will happen. They have to do it”, the source said.
It was not ascertained whether president Mohmmadu Buhari would be at the meeting but Saraki and Dogara are expected to be at the meeting.
It will be recalled that after the National Assembly leadership that brought Saraki and Dogara as the new leaders of the 8th assembly, tempers have continued to flare up in the party.

Upon their elections on June 9, APC immediately issued a statement where it declared the outcome of the elections unacceptable and also threatened sanctions for the new leaders.

The threat however divided the party with some of the national leaders frowning at the decision.
One of the them was the deputy national publicity secretary, comrade Timi Frank who also called for the resignation of the party’s national chairman, chief John Oyegun on the grounds of his failure to harmonize the variegated interests that later cost the party the office of the Deputy Senate President, DSP.

According to Frank, Oyegun compromised to have agreed to conduct the mock election that threw up Lawan and Gbajabimila as official candidates of the party.

Meanwhile, national chairman of the party, Oyegun has assured Nigerians that peace was underway in the party.

Rising from the meeting of the National Working Committee, NWC which held at party’s national secretariat in Abuja yesterday, the chairman said that the party had reached out to all aggrieved parties, stressing that Nigerians would see a united APC by next week.

He also marshalled out defence for the party’s national publicity secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who he said had been misunderstood in some quarters while discharging his responsibilities.

Jagaban! Okunrin meta ati abo. Oju yobo 1 of Lagos.

There is no need to apologise to Tinubu if the story is true. All they have to do is to apologise to APC members and move on because of national interest.

Nobody owns APC. APC is a party not a company, that is why, you will never see a leader or head in APC or any political party with the title "MD" or "CEO"

Tinubu should just leave everything behind and move on so that your party will not fall just like PEEDEEPEE.

Tinubu who made uu God over all! Must uu impose candidates on Nigerians? undecided

Saraki iis just a smart thinker who fully understands the dynamics and application of refined politics grin

Tinubu shud be more concerned with applying perfume to that his mouth than rather pleading for apology like some high skool kid angry

Vanguard has never been a credible source of news.
To what purpose would a newspaper apology serve and how would it be addressed:"we apologize for going against the national leader" etc and that's that?
This is another poorly concocted lie that vanguard and some online news media have been known for of recent.
Maybe due to the social and online news media and the need to publish news items in record time, some mainstream media no longer conduct any form of investigation and verification before rushing to press.

Although the ongoing crisis in the All Progressives Congress does not seem to be ending soon, the party’s national leader has hinted what the senator president, Bukola Saraki and speaker, house of representatives, Yakubu Dogara can do to pacify him.Vanguard reports that the national leader is still not happy with Saraki and Dogara as he feels he was seen as unimportant when the duo went against his order to place Senator Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabimila as the APC candidates for the elections in the house.
There have been moves by some chieftains in the party wage peace into the matter but an insider made it known that Tinubu wants both Saraki and Dogara to tender and publish a full page apology publicly on national dailies.

The source further said that an extended meeting of the national leaders of the party with APC governors involved had been fixed for next week.

Meanwhile, the senate and the APC might face another round of crisis over principal positions in the upper chamber.

The mark has now been laid in the sand. APC have decided to drag themselves in the mud and their dirty linen is now being washed in open glare. It is now unlikely that this battle will not impede the drive of the administration. Oyegun has no control. The camps are mirroring the implosion of PDP visiting OBJ. Tinubu is feeling humiliated and wants redemption. They have now all vacated Abuja and who knows when they will return to Governance as house goes in long recess. The Campaign for 2019 or the battle for it has been joined early as Politicians now know four years is so short. No one of them cares about the electorate. Its a battle for power and control that cares little on who getd hurt in its path and that includes the electorate that appears to have been fooled. Shame but the CHANGE is being shortchanged.

I doubt this story but if true, arrogant Bukola Saraki WILL NEVER do that. An apology to his party for his Judas' way is appropriate but for him to single out Tinubu for apology, I doubt that will ever happen. Again, this tori na fake jo o.

There is actually a grand plot by some loosers to bastardize the name of Tinubu and there aim is to kill his political profile as a revenge for his contribution to the defeat of PDP.

God will definitely shame all his enemies and they will be rendered useless and unsuccessful in their undertakings.

In their quest to wrest power from Jonathan, APC and their allies corrupted many sacred institutions, including the media. Otherwise responsible media houses were turned into ragsheets churning out concocted stories daily and in the process smiling to the banks at the expense of gullible readers. Lies and propaganda are now very profitable hobbies that , unfortunately, can't be turned off at the whims of those who financed and encouraged it.

It gladdens the heart to see APC squirm at the bite of the same monster they created, if you buy a whirlwind, it's only fitting that you must enjoy/endure the occasional dizzy spells
