Less people should go on codeine and other controlled drugs.
Scrap "chemists". Those guys are murderers. Green white green capsule sellers
You are so ignorant.scrape chemist for what? Are they the problem? No they are not.The problem are the importers n manufacturers of the drugs. This chemist only buy from the open market Just like pharmacist n even hospitals.they have every right to do their buisnesses n are legally registered under the "patent medicine dealers "association of Nigeria.
Even some pharmacist purchase their drugs from this so called "chemists "cos they are the ones with the financial Power to buy from the manucfacturers or importers.
However ,serious regulation of this association(patent medicine dealers) is required.

Despite I don't support fake drugs but shutting them us that a solution GMB + APC stop creating more jobless people on the street for goodness sake.

Since GMB took office all we have be hearing is ban, ban and ban GMB your change campaigners did not vote for you to make them unemploy or jobless. What they asked for is give Nigeria electricity, give Nigeria security, give Nigeria employment leave these ban ban matter and do what people want then you can come back to hammer fake drugs, GMB do the right stop dodging away your responsibilities and your sweet mouthed promises do them now before Nigeria turn against you stop lame and lazy excuses do the job. Rubbish!!!

Nigeria have millions of unemployed graduates yet our schools suffer from shortage of mathematics and science teachers, oil and construction companies search abroad for skilled manpower, we fly patients abroad for what is routine treatment in India,we can't design and build our own refineries, cement factories, ship dockyards etc, even building artisans from other west African countries are taken over our building sector. we even import people from Niger and Chad to dig our water Wells. we are the world largest buyers of blackberry phones yet most of us are living on a dollar or less. as a youth core member, i was ridiculed heavily to a point of enemity cos i was a book worm rather than the womanizer, runs girl that they are while forming religious fellows. any attempt to have an in-depth discussion on any topic would reveal their shallowness. they would rather die than read a book. practically all the girls can't write a simple application to travel because their written English waw extremely poor, even Nigerian newspapers are replete with very poor English

Well your correction is taken and thanks.

Haven't said that, I can assure you I read it thoroughly before posting the topic in the first place, but I just want you to give me a reason why you think I went off-point or is it because I said we now have a president that has balls?

If that is the reason, I would love it if you can dig into Oransaye and the Confab report and what became of them with an open mind.

Having said that not haven't said that...don't be offended with my corrections plz boss...

1)Yes...buhari has nothing to do with the said policy both its formation and implementation (not because I am against him but because that's the fact)...Go back and read the original post and see the phases the policy has so far passed...

2)Steve Oronsanya(not sure of the spelling)report was submitted...Jonathan got the committee that produced the white paper(which showed feasible measures of implementation based on policy track of the administration and realities on ground)... Some of the recommendations have already being implemented, while some are still being tinkered with, while some are being challenged by affected agencies like in aviation sector...

3)Confab report was submitted(Note; buhari, his party and region were against confab)...Jonathan got the committee that broke it down into implementable phases(policy formations; executive fiat and legislative/constitution amendment)...This was part of his handover documents to buhari...

4)Why the fuss bro?...buhari is yet to come up with any policy formation or implementation or whatever...
Re: FG To Shut Down All Open Drug Markets From July 1 by ollyruffy: 3:07pm On Jun 27, 2015
Very good.

Some ministries and agencies are just waking up from their sleeps.

The fear of being merged with another agency or ministry by Buhari is the begining of wisdom for them.

Thanks for the correction once more and for your time to correct some of the points raised.

Clearly, we are in opposing view concerning past government policies and the present one if I'm to go by all you've written so far.

1)Yes...buhari has nothing to do with the said policy both its formation and implementation (not because I am against him but because that's the fact)...Go back and read the original post and see the phases the policy has so far passed...

1) Yes PMB does not have input in the formation of the policy, but his regime will be credited for the implementation of the policies his predecessor formulated.

2) The white paper submitted by Oronsaye contains in part, that ministries should prune down and merged where necessary, like merging together Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and the Nigerian Meteorological Agency but GEJ never implemented it, though we might argue that he would have done it in his second term, well the rest is history.

3)Confab report was submitted(Note; buhari, his party and region were against confab)...Jonathan got the committee that broke it down into implementable phases(policy formations; executive fiat and legislative/constitution amendment)...This was part of his handover documents to buhari...

3)We all know the reason why Buhari, Tinubu and APC as a Party never supported the Confab in the first place, it was deceptively conceived.

4)Why the fuss bro?...buhari is yet to come up with any policy formation or implementation or whatever...

4)Cut him some slack, what can he do when members of NASS are behaving like rascals and he cannot put together a cabinet without a settled NASS, I think you should give him a maximum of 100days in office and let's see where all the CHANGE he promised will stem from, cheers.

Thanks so much for not taking my corrections personal...

1)Implementation already begun in past administration and will continue ad infinitum...

2)White paper is produced by government alone not individuals(Steve submitted his report then government produced white paper from it)...Much part of it has been implemented... I gave you example with aviation sector which you reechoed...there's lot of issues with that sector hence you don't wake up and give a decree(it is democracy with lots of union and court actions)...coupled with the media propaganda by Punch and co that it is targeted at downsizing the Yoruba in federal civil service...Jonathan has done reasonable work in the implementation...QED

3)How is confab deceptive bro?...Nawa... kindly clarify me here...

4)NASS crisis doesn't stop buhari working if actually he knows what he is doing... but truth is that buhari is such person that strives in playing to the gallery by making baseless statements...He has been in the race for 12years...declared winner for more than 3months...inaugurated for about a month...it is enough time for any serious leader who knows his onion to have chatted a part...Buhari is just an overhyped bigot...No sentiments here...If he can't appoint basic officers like SGF or chief of staff after such a time, then he's a burden than an asset...

Drug is not sugar, nice move. fake drugs kill than diseases.
abouzaid:
Nigerians are totally clueless, this is a move for a few individuals to monopolize the drug distribution trade. mind you, atleast 95% of all the drugs marketed in Nigeria are imported. when Nigeria ends up like the USA where pharmaceutical monopolies are sucking the people to death, then we would learn. a drug that would cost u #50 in Nigeria can cost u more than #6000 in usa even though they are both made by the same manufacturer in India or China and have the same efficiency. government should not get involved in any the running of any business, it will only lead to crony capitalism. remember what happened in the cement, sugar, salt and iron rods industry.
