Hello respected nairalanders,
An earlier thread got me thinking about young successful men who are still single. I won’t exactly call myself rich or wealthy but I have everything a man can ask for except for a wife and kids. Much tougher to achieve when you don’t have a woman in your life and live in a place where I don’t get to meet single Nigerian ladies.

It will be nice to meet a pretty and well mannered Nigerian lady who is willing to go the distance. Not a big fan of social media for meeting folks. So I’m here to see if there is anyone out there who is willing to meet and see if we have anything in common worth exploring.

I’m handsome, intelligent, responsible, a natural leader of men. I believe in treating women with respect and expect faithfulness / fidelity on both sides.

have you tried local Nigerian unions/associations?

they are good places to meet others with a similar mindset, especially if there are few of you in one place. the group is smaller so its easier to see whether you connect with people or not

anyway I commend your effort. its certainly a bold and brave step

I'm currently in a small town. Couple of Nigerian folks but all older married folks. No single ones and I'd rather stay close to home.

Yeah, I'm willing to find the person, whatever part of the world the person might be. Coming back home to marry is not a bad idea. I would prefer to meet someone and get something rolling ahead of time.
At this stage of it, I'd rather not involve family, it can get imposing especially when everyone might think they know whats good for you. Family will come in later.

Hahaha sex is not a problem. Sex is not a good enough criteria to picking a life partner. Not sure how meeting someone on the other side of the world would solve a sexual problem if there was one.
I did not say there are no single ladies, I said there are no single Nigerian ladies and I'd rather marry one.

I mean those cousins/relatives you can groove with, who can just invite you along to something and bring a nice girl, or connect you with somebody nearby, something laid back like that

I'd prefer a Christian but religion (or lack of it) is not a deal breaker either. I feel as a Nigerian, tribe and religion are used to divide us too deeply for selfish purposes. So I like to look as people as humans, instead of segregating them by groups.
If a person is great, true, honest and faithful, who cares what tribe, or religion they are. I've dated non Nigerians for a while now, so nationality don't really matter to me. However, I find a deep difference in fundamental values to be able to go that direction.

I would say that division happens all over the world, especially in 3rd world countries for a host of reasons. But in our typical Nigerian way it just goes overboard with us we cant do anything by halves, not even religious bigotry/ tribalism

Well with ur last paragraph, its well within my right to do this : You are a very big fool and a round duns...


And as for ur question ... Bro believe me if you don't have a lady before making it in life you will not find a good girl o... Especially if you live in lagos... Nigerian girls only care about money and guys who have made it... So looking for a true companion is very dificult at this time. No matter how decent they look, they are succubusses.

However my advice will be for you to think back if there has ever been any girl in ur life who once loved or cared for you, even if you guys didn't date or have a relationship. If there has been any lady in ur life you once admired for their decency and modesty or a female best friend or a lady who was with you through a difficult time... I suggest you start tracking them down now and praying they are still single.
Its a risk as well but trust me you rather sleep with the devil you know.

Another advice would be to meet ur mum to help you be on the look out or if there is any girl she knows that's good, you guys could get intoduced and date for a while to see if things work out.

On ur own I suggest you go to church more regularly or mosque as the case maybe and always go alone and do ur things alone, don't try making friends and don't cat like u need a wife and don't go with ur car or expensively dressed,becos decent ladies are usually attracted to decent and modest looking guys, usually not extravagantly dressed or guys with expensive cars.
You could also go to beaches or any where you think you could meet ladies.... Always keep a low profile so ur not easily noticed,that way you can monitor them from a distance to know how they act and react.

When u eventually find anyone you like just walk up to her and make her ur friend.try getting close to her knowing her, and ur good to go.

And finally; I believe ur in ur late 20s or early 30s so you could just pick any girl from any where date her,u both go for an HIV and STDs test and if she is clean impregnate her when she puts to bed you re a father so anytime you eventually find love(even @ 40) you know you already have a child,and the child is about a year old,take ur child and start raising him.
Or you look for a beautiful tall well built lady and offer to pay her some money(you two will bargain) for her to have a child for you and when the deed is done u pay her off and when the child is big enuff you take him/her and you keep hustling till u find love.
